Nunn was the most talented fighter of his era IMO, shame he ****** his career up his nose though after KOing Kalambay. He'd of beaten Jones if he laid off the white stuff for a while, infact he'd of probably beaten him anyway!

He's also been in with and whooped the asses of Doug DeWitt, Prince Charles Williams and Vassiliy Jirov, and schooled undefeated prospects like Merqui Sosa and Tim Littles who were never the same after losing to Toney.

I though Toney was the pound-for-pound best in boxing, but he ate himself out of the fight with Jones - he beat himself more than Jones beat him. You saw the best of Roy Jones against James Toney, but you saw the worst of James Toney. Why do you think that Jones never gave him a rematch?

Toney, when he was 'on', was the smoothest counter-puncher of all-time. He's probably the slickest infighter in boxing history. Now, was he a concussive puncher? No. Did he have a lot of raw power? No. Did he put guys to sleep with one shot? Yes. He wasn't a Hard puncher, but he was a GOOD puncher. That guy was all skill, and he has the best resume in boxing by miles.

      James Toney is my man..

Man, some of these ppl in this forum must be under 18 for real. Anyway, look jones did something that james freaking fatboy toney couldn't do and thats went 175 pounds to skip 190 pounds to fight a heavyweight champion and easily beat him, thats exactly what jones did. He easily and i mean easily beat ruiz, toney beat ruiz by using steriods. Toney still hasn't prove **** as a heavyweight, the one thing i give toney his props is that he has a hard chin. The rest lol mygoodness sure he has slick skills but no power. Toney in his career is not better then jones. Hey hayes, i might be wrong but didn't toney lost to griffin? the same griffin that was destroy by jones? hmmm umm yea.

People should not forget the Schooling that Montell Griffin put onto Jones. It's a shame that Griffin got rid of Futch though for the second Jones fight, otherwise he might of got a clean win in the rematch.

Yeah, he had it all. I really can't see how Jones could have beaten him.

I was just checking his record out again. I'd forgotten that he fought Crawford Ashley. Crawford used to do weights in the same gym as me in Leeds.

Let me see Roid fight Peter, let me guess one punch knockout!

rjj played with bernard hopkins & james toney & future world champs jorge castro & sugarboy malinga in non title fights, he took out virgil hill with an awesome bodyshot, montell griffin with an awesome uppercut, & was heavy weight champ of the world

I think this is the firs opinion that really should put an end to the discussion on this thread. To say Jones never faught anybody is ridiculus, To say that Toney is hands down the better fighter is just as insane. I respected Toney in the past. I do give him props for attempting to rally his career. But he is absolutly not in the same catagory as Jones and Bhop, common man stand by your boy your supposed to I guess. At least Jones could compete and **** with the heavies. Toney has to rely on what little wits he has left with those guys. The man has got to have the worst training regime I've ever seen, No class and lost is clout a long time ago when he went searching for somebody he could beat. "oh let me try the heavyweights who are in peril they stand still and I can look good against them" he forgot the part where he lacked the power to be effective in this division.
**** James Toney for letting himself go or he may have been a shadow of the man you nut huggers try to build him up to be.

Roy Jones 2 big wins came against the green Bitchkins and Toney, who had trouble making weight and was also having personal problems at that time.

Roid never gived a rematched to Hopkins and Toney!

I rank both Hopkins and Toney ahead of Jones.
