Ruben Oliveras was a huge puncher at bantamweight, very feared puncher. I've read many boxing journalist consider Oliveras the best batamweight of all-time.

Isn't Jofre the fighter who only fougth in Venezula or somthing?
Olivares was definitely a harder puncher than Jofre but Jofre has some pop too. Olivares has a weak chin. Jofre overall has a better resume than Olivares. He fought everywhere but mostly in Brazil.

First time i remember hearing about Jofre was on a boxing Fourm, before that i can't recall.

I've heard about Ruben Oliveras years ago in Ring Magazine, boxing show programs, and so on. Ring Magazine i've read call him the best bantamweight.

Oliveras could also box as was evident when he was beating Arguello. Oliveras knows his way around the ring. They say that he was not training properly after awhile cause he just keep winning and loved beer and parties.

I've only see 1 fight and a few clips of Oliveras, and his fights and boxing style at times -depends which fight and who he fought- could bet taken lightly. But those who seen him through out his era acknowledge how great he was.

jofre's career surpasses olivares' career, easily. look him up and you will see why he was the lower weight version of sugar ray robinson.

I've never seen him fight, only heard about him when i started going to boxing fourm more specifictly, max boxing board. Other then that i never heard from him before. I've seen countless boxing matchs mention Ruben Olivers on tv and boxing magazines, many times these boxing shows or boxing article would refrer to Oliveras as the best bantamweight ever. So i respect your opinion, but i seen too many reference that say Oliveras is the best Bantemweight ever, to not give Oliveras the respect he earned.

And by the way if you had ever read any of Ferocities posts you'd know what I was talking about fool.

            To wit:

If you make lame gifs that aren't funny but insulting to professional fighters, like making up **** about how they hit their wives, then you really dont have the right to call people out on "pwned" and "nuthugging".

If you want to call people out on being mature, try to act your own age old man.

Please keep all the red karma coming. It shows what a pathetic little lonely man you really are.

I remember back when this forum actually intelligently discussed boxing, and wasn’t overrun by trolls and racists.
