Power, maybe, handspeed, hell no
Tyson vs Lewis, prime for prime:
Strengths for Tyson, Speed, Power, agility, chin, combinations, controlled aggression, reflexes, and a great machine that can follow orders which is basically saying he had the fortune to have a great gameplan setup for him to win.
Weakness for Tyson: was somewhat vulnerable to be hit with the uppercut, which Lewis has. Sometimes became unfocused/confused for brief moments. Could be tied up, though I have an argument for that if you need it.
He could have problems with the jab, not as much in his prime than later on since he was able to get underneath the jab and hit you with his leaping left hook, which to him was probably what he wanted you to do because it left you open.
Gets fustrated if you don't throw punches back because there are no openings for him to take advantage of; "it takes two to tango"
Lewis strengths : Power in both hands...nice jab...nice uppercut...nice over-hand right...very intelligent...patient...good chin, though not great, but very underrated on these boards...physically big, both in height and weight/strength...good stamina, though not great, which is also a negative which I will show below
Lewis negatives: STAMINA: though it is perceived to be very good, I somewhat doubt this simply because nobody was really able to pressure him like they needed to...yes, he did have some tough fights, but the only person to really test him from what I can remember for the long hall was Evander, and Evander wasn't exactly in his "Prime"...I still debate his stamina since the only guy to really pressure him hard was Vitali, but it can be argued that at Lennox's age, your stamina is not the same as when you are in your late 20's. The one thing I know, guys the size of Lennox, when forced to fight all 3 minutes tend to have "stamina issues." This of course is why Lennox was smart and used two great weapons, the JAB and the CLINCH.
Chin: though good, not exactly Ali or Holyfield in this department.
When you think about it, Lennox was great, especially for his size, but fighting Tyson is a bit different:
In this fight Lewis would have to deal with someone that throws fast, powerfull, combinations, something rare in the heavyweight division. Lewis's long arms could also work for him and against him: longer arms could possibly keep Tyson at a distance, but it could also work against you if Tyson gets inside which I am sure he would be instructed to do. *Lets not bring up the "DOUGLAS" fight because if you ever saw Tyson fight prior when he was in shape, motivated, and with Rooney, this fighter was different.
Tyson, like I stated above, would have to deal with the Jab, Uppercut, and clinching from Lewis. I could see him dealing with the jab since I have seen Tyson get by Jabs with not a whole lot of problem becuse of his quick speed/leaping uppercuts which is helped by his head movement...
actually kind of getting tired of writing the rest
that everybody else was talking about, Lennox Lewis
