don't forget its not like tyson was slow, if he knew they were faster than him he would work them down and corner them and then open the floodgates with top ferocity punches on them and knock them clean out!

I dont know that Lewis ever had the speed to deal with Tyson at his peak. He has alot of size and guys with size like Bruno and others tried to tie him up alot but I dont know that it would would work. Tyson's movement and combinations might just overwhelm Lewis. Lewis I think would have a very difficult time landing effecively against Tyson, even landing jabs effectively. Lewis would have to be very effective at countering Tyson as he came in, but again I dont know that he ever had the speed to do that effectively.

Lewis in his prime had both better handspeed and power than Mike Tyson in my opinion. The handspeed might not look it, but that is just because his punches are longer. People forget that when Tyson was 20 years old and a world champion, Lewis went up to Catskill and got the better of him and Lewis was only an amateur. Lennox Lewis was still about ten years away from his prime as an amateur.
