I thought Toney won, but he should of done more. I really thought he could of knocked Peter out a couple of times but he just didn't have the stamina. They say he can't train like he used to because of his age, but just 3 years ago he came in at 217 for Holyfield.
Toney/Peter WHO WON THE FIGHT???

Poor Holyfield had to face the best shape heavyweight version of Toney.Originally posted by DoubleI thought Toney won, but he should of done more. I think if Toney is around the same shape he was against Holyfield, none of these heavyweights will beat him today.Comment

That's not even an opinion. It's a fact. The biggest puncher in the division couldn't take him out when he was fat. Nobody in the division can hurt him and nobody has half his skill. I don't care how big and tall any of them are, Toney is the best heavyweight in the world at 220-225lbs.Originally posted by Gunstar1Poor Holyfield had to face the best shape heavyweight version of Toney.

Hey I openly admit......When I watched it live I had it 114-113 for Peter.I was drunk and had about 5 other guys around yelling and screaming and yes I was pulling for Peter.I really want to watch it again and out of 6 people I watched it with Me and one other guy are the only ones that thought Peter had won.I admit when I heard the scores I thought more likely that Toney was going to get the nod......Anyway I could give a **** less what you think of my credibilty because you are also a KNOWN hater and very biased in many situations so to each it own.I do think however after everything I have read about this fight and if I were to have time to watch it again.....I probably will see it for Toney.....Oh well life goes on.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoI don't mean to insult, but I have to in this instance.

can't help but laugh at the way RunWithKnives disappeared from the boards following his SURE THING prediction that Peter would win. you'll notice he didn't even vote in the poll. lol, coincidence? I think notComment

I didnt think he hit that hard. It my second time i seen Peters that first was 4 rounder.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoThat's not even an opinion. It's a fact. As far as i am consider even if he is the strongest he is still have some dumb startgy if someone is stunt attack more and he tend to give time for Toney to recover in the 5 round.
Toney won it clear but he gave usally the last 20 or 30 sec to Peters and that is the problem with Toney in the fight try fighting through the whole 3 min roundComment

i thought toney fought more then just 30 seconds lol i wish i knew these rounds where he didnt do anything for 150 secondsComment

I scored the fight three. first time through i had 115-112 toney, like most people did. he landed a ton of jabs and fought his fight. 2nd time i had a draw - when i paid more attention to peter it seemed like he was physically imposing himself on toney. but that was just an illusion. the third time through it was clear as day that toney won the fight. 116-111. yes peter had some flurries late in rounds that a judge could be and they obviously were influenced by. but you have to take the whole round into consideration. like bernstein said you just can't ignore the amount of jabs that toney landed and he was also landing the flush straight right hands while peter who did hit flush a few times, was mostly hitting air. just watch some of those replays where peter lets his hands go and james just ducks and dodges out of the way of 5 of the 6 punches. toney definitely won the fightComment
