I honestly don't think Peters won more the 4 or 5 rounds, so I don't see how he won, but I'm gonna rewatch the fight & score it round by round to see what I come up with. Sure it was a good fight, but not close enough for him to have lost a decision IMHO.
Toney/Peter WHO WON THE FIGHT???

peter landed 3 square shots and about 50 toney rolled with... toney hit hit square all night with the jab alone ...Comment

That's one of the main reason why i think Toney won, he was owning Peters with the jab alone all night longOriginally posted by realheavyhandspeter landed 3 square shots and about 50 toney rolled with... toney hit hit square all night with the jab alone ...Comment

the problem is a good many of the nuthuggers obviously made multiple screen names to skew the votes. its obvious which ones would do that considering all the childish crying that went on after the decision was announcedOriginally posted by restless_438121 vs. 22... yup, and all 121 are "nuthuggers"

I don't see how someone seeing something they think is wrong and speaking up about it is crying, what I consider crying is claiming that the poll was altered by people with multiple sn. The people saw what they saw, Peters got a boxing lesson, then he was handed a gift. I'll tell you this much not very often does a fighter win a well deserved decision, & then gets booed out of the ring & has to run for safety.Originally posted by beez721the problem is a good many of the nuthuggers obviously made multiple screen names to skew the votes. its obvious which ones would do that considering all the childish crying that went on after the decision was announced

agreed, Toney was never in any serious danger in the fight.. he was, however, stunned a couple times, but never in dangerOriginally posted by Left2bodyI think there is too much talk of Toney being hurt. Much of it was Toney's balance and I believe tactics. Look at Toney's reaction when he misses a punch the way he staggers back into the ropes, or when Peter sometimes lands a glancing blow on TOney's sholder or body Toney would also stagger into the ropes.
I believe Toney was only stunned in 2 rounds.Comment

"Toney Won the fight
No I'm an idiot, I thought Peter won"
_____________
This is just like one of the whore media's bull**** polls!
And Peter won the f'ing fight! - one of the few times in the last 100 years that judges have scored a fight correctly. Guess you dimwits are so shocked by that incredibly rare event that it has driven you into hysterics.

What fight did you see that Peters won more then 4 or 5 rounds? explain to me how Peters won the fight please? I guess out landing, outworking, & outboxing a guy isn't enough these days to deserve a decision.Originally posted by werewolf"Toney Won the fight

Refer to my thread on the subject, please. Peters was the aggressor throughout and landed the more effective blows. This has really gone on way too long. In the pantheon of crooked and idiotic boxing decisions over the past century, this fight doesn't even enter the picture, and it was actually the ccorrect decision.

I'd say that the few rounds that Peter won(again 4 or 5) he won convincingly, he did wobble Toney about 2 or 3 times, but with the jab alone Toney should have won, not to mention the countering. Toney would beat him to the punch & dodged almost all the shots thrown at him, the last few rounds Toney would win the first half & Peters would land a few shots in the last 30 sec, not enough for him to have won the fight in my book. This might not have been the worst decision in boxing history, but it's the most recent, so it leaves a nasty taste in your mouth. I honestly think that you'd have to be a Toney hater or a Peters nuthugger to think Toney lost that fight, but that's just my opinion.Originally posted by werewolfRefer to my thread on the subject, please.
