Smokin I can sit here and argue your logic all day but what the **** is the point. You have your side of the story or what makes sense to you and have my side of the story or what makes sense to me.Bottom line Corrales pulled out knowing they would make Castillo drain and keep a certain weight.Might not be absolutley fair but its pretty ****ing close. He gets to recuperate while the other guy keeps sweating his ass off.Corrales pulled out of the earlier date knowing how Castillo would struggle more as time went by, still Castillo is a dumb ass for not standing up for himself.
You have every right to be mad at Castillo for not making weight.
The reason: He cant do it anymore!
Im just as pissed at him for not saying **** and listening to influence, he is a DUMB ASS!
Didn't Castillo say the day before the weigh in that his weight was looking really good and that he was going to make it for sure?
You are reading into this from a moronic standpoint.
Case:
THe fight was contractually obligated (for the third time I've said this...listen up) for 135. Castillo also said in many interviews that he would fight at 135.
Point:
Corrales was busting his ass to fight at 135. In my estimation, (which I have seen before from MMA guys) Corrales was probably fasting about 2 days before the fight to get the weight off. Nothing but laxatives, water, and a sweat suit. Do you have any idea the toll that takes on your body? If the fight was CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED at 140 then Corrales wouldn't of had to work as hard to get the weight off. If they fought at 140, I would be fine with it.
Point is, they didn't. Castillo cheated the fans.
Case; Fight was contracted at 135.
Point; Castillo was overweight, do to constipated and his body would not allow him to suet off the extra pounds. Castillo was going to give part of his purse to Corrales for the extra pounds. Now, it was up to Corrales if he still wanted to fight.....
Ferocity, you claim to have been a professional boxer (for 1 fight) and you obviosuly fought alot in the amateurs. Haven't you ever seen the toll making weight (when it is hard to do so) has on your body. Or are you that thick headed?
Does weight play a role yes. But, the point is this is nothing new to boxing. This is not the first time a boxer has fought another fighter that came in 4 or more pounds overweight.
I belive it was John Scully who one gave up a few pounds i think 10 or so and he didn't get knocked out - I think it was Scully himself who said this, expect i added the knock out opinion.
Ricard Lopez fought the hard hitting Rosendo Alverez who came in 5 pounds over weight but hey worked it out and still fought.
Im i supposed to belive boxing doesn't have anymore warriors like Scully and Lopez who don't give a **** about a few pounds but have the balls to fight on cause they are fighters, they are warriors.
The reason Corrales didn't want to fight again is cause he was afraid to get knocked out. Simple as that.
Then what the **** is Corrales still doing at 135? You know damn well that he wanted the advantge of Castillo coming in drained. Now you got Corrales saying he would never fight Castillo at a higher weight because he said it started at 135 and should end there........ (If that doesn't sound like a scared ***** than I don't know what does...) By the way, wasn't the Morales/Barrera trilogy in different weight classes.....?
Great post, alll true.
Imagine if Corrales was from Mexico? They'd be compliaing that Corrales should move up in weight.
I have proof for these idiots, too.
It's funny how their story only makes sence to Mexicans.
If Castillo said he was going to make weight and how he was so confident.
Of course he did because he belived he could make weight, but found out his body won't let him. Castillo has already gave you ****ers what you wanted yet you want the man crucified just because a fight that could ruin both fighters didn't come through. The contract was for a fight between both fighter at 135, Castillo didn't make weight so guess what?.....no fight! and thats that, now lets move on.
Didn't Castillo say the day before the weigh in that his weight was looking really good and that he was going to make it for sure?
Did he not?
You got to understand its normal for the week of the fight for the fighter to be 5 pounds away from his weight, problem is this time like last time Castillos body wouldn't allow him to take off the extra pounds.
If you don't belive me tell me what fighter stays at his fighting weight for the week of the fight?

Exactly, the only reason they hate on Castillo is because he's Mexican and it was another opportunity to use to clown one of own fighters even after all the great fights he has given everyone.
