i have a feeling peter is going to try and wrestle toney and lean on him to tire him out, hoping it will slow down his upper body movement so he can land a big shot -
I agree that Peters has a slim chance to beat Toney, but if he's been adding some skills to his arsenal then he's still has the potential to be a very good Heavyweight, if he's still one-dementional then he's gonna be taken out of the HW division by the smallest guy there, Light Out Sam Peters!Originally posted by !! Anorak... I know people get excited over a puncher, but I'm still not convinced he's that yet.
Come on, who has he knocked out? His career was on the skids after Wlad beat him (and, despite what Wlad's detractors like to claim, Wlad NEVER looked like being KOed, his problems in that fight were psychological... he was dropped, not hurt).
Then along comes Julius Long - Audley Harrison's fourth pro opponent, for God's sake - and he's back in contention.
Yeah, he's exciting, and yes, he sells, but he's also one of the most technically limited boxers I've ever seen fighting at this top level. I mean, we all used to s****** at Frank Bruno, but big Frank looks like Ali compared to this crude, lunging clubber.
What really shocks me - shocks me, I tells ya! - is that supposedly learned, intelligent boxing fans on a boxing website could ever have predicted he would beat Klitschko.
What shocks me further is that those same fans who predicted he could beat one of the three most technically gifted fighters in the division are now predicting that he could beat the most technically gifted. Sure, Toney was in a bad shape last time out - he looked like a sack of **** to be frank - but, to use the old expression, Toney has ]"forgot more than Sam knows". JT is a boxing genius... Sam Peter doesn't even have a boxing brain.
James isn't a big guy and there's always the chance - bearing in mind that over 90% of his bouts have been fought OUTSIDE the heavyweight division - that he could get clocked. But against lunging Peter, who can probably punch, but doesn't know how to? Whatever the weight disadvantage - and Peter coming in so overweight will make this a party for James - Toney will never be so old, so vulnerable or so uninspired that he won't handle Peter with ease. If anything, it will be embarrassing to watch.
So please, I know the guy excites when knocking out D and even E class fighters, but after tomorrow let's forget serious talk about him being a champ. I like the guy, but the only time I really expect to see Sam Peter shouting "Who next?? WHO NEXT??" is when he's serving at the local McDonald's counter.Comment

Yeah, this is a thread for adult discussion, not silly children, Manny Penis.Originally posted by $Manny_P$didn't Anorak pick Prince Ajmu to beat Roy Jones Jr? This thread is moot coming from the thread starter. Pizzzzzzzzzzzit!
Considering Roy was on bendy legs in about the first minute then I don't think it was that bad a pick, the guy is gone, but Ajamu was worse.
If you look at my predictions for this year I'm currently on something like 70-80%. So maybe you should **** off to a thread that has the word "pwn" and "nuthugger" in it, and then come back when you can explain why you predicted Peter to KO Toney and Lacy to KO Calzaghe. ****ing little moron prick.Comment

As far as I'm concerned, this thread was correct.
I can admit when I'm wrong (check it - I'm on like 70%+ correct predictions this year, mother****ers!) but here I refuse to believe that I was.
As far as I'm concerned Toney pissed this fight, 116-111 on my card. Peter was better than I thought he'd be, but NO WAY did he win. No way.Comment
