That is not true, Wlad didn't look like he was being KO'd on the first 2 knockdowns, but after the third knockdown he was in serious serious trouble. If that knockdown was not right at the end of a round Wlad would have been knocked out. His legs were completely gone and he had a lot of trouble making the ten count.

        LOL!!!
I rarely disagree with you Anorak and I'm not too sure of this time either but I do have to say that I feel Toney is getting slower and more reticent with every fight. There is no doubt that Toney is 100 times the boxer that Peter is but the only thing right now that is changing my mind towards a Toney win is Sam Peter's ****** surplus weight. Yep, it means that Peter HAS to win in the first 4-6 rounds before Toney becomes the superior athlete.
Toney is going to get a pounding (on the arms and back mostly) and may or may not weather that. Enough pounding, leaning and clubbing may well sap Toney's stamina. BUT!!! the fact that Peter is SO heavy means that he is going to be burning energy far faster than even he usually does. What little mobility and speed he usually has is really going to be smothered, muscle or fat.
After the weigh in I feel the fight is far more 50/50 than I did before but I still am plumping (pun intended) for Peter. Though I am questioning my choice at this point I feel I need to stand by it because I can't stand flip flopping.
Once again I end my post by giving Toney huge credit for taking this fight with all it's risks. I don't actually care who wins that much but am really looking forward to the fight. Hopefully Toney can do better than in his 2 heavyweight championship efforts but if he can't beat Rahman I think Peter's gonna outpower him unless Toney has a rennaisance.

I think the fact that these two fighters are in an eliminator for a title shot shows just how far heavyweight boxing has fallen in recent years.

Toney was a very good fighter and a true future hall of famer, but a fat, former middleweight getting into the upper echelons of the heavyweight division and getting a couple of cracks at the top highlights the lack of quality and the lack of depth in the heavyweight division.

As for Peter, he has no Boxing skill at all.

If Peter lands 50 shoulder shots and Toney lands 15 good shots the round will go to Peter. James Toney is difficult to hit and if he Samuel Peters is outworking him than he wins the round. I hope people don't start that again with the Toney landed cleaner shots bull****. With Rahman he was outworked and got a gift Draw decision. Peter has a chance to win this fight but he might get tired going the distance. Why in the hell would he come in weighing so much? Maybe lack of training.

This is a mystery to me. Why is Peter coming into this fight the heaviest weight of his career in aguably the biggest fight of his career? Maybe all of this weight will work to his advantage.

its not bull**** its boxing. rahman landed weak shots to his shoulders and kidneys and toney was the one snapping rahmans neck back with CLEAN punches. rahman threw 300 more punches and landed 6 MORE TOTAL SHOTS - thats not outworking anyone, thats INEFFECTIVE WORK. you dont just give someone rounds because hes throwing more and not being effective. and good luck if your banking on peter landing 50 shots a round, he'd be gassed by the 4th
