You type way way 2 much. Sam does have the type of power that can KO anyone but Toney has the skills to make anyone look foolish in the ring . It all comes down to who fights their own fight and depending on if Sam can land . I have a bad feeling about this fight as far as JT goes but that could have more to do with the way he fought last time out rather then how he can fight .
Time to f... off this Peter nonsense...

Valid points; but here's mine. Former middleweight vs big heavyweight...former middleweight who stays essentially in one place against big heavyweight.....former fat middleweight with no punching power and stays in one place looking to counter againt big heavyweight with big heavyweight punch with concrete jaw.Originally posted by !! Anorak... I know people get excited over a puncher, but I'm still not convinced he's that yet.
Come on, who has he knocked out? His career was on the skids after Wlad beat him (and, despite what Wlad's detractors like to claim, Wlad NEVER looked like being KOed, his problems in that fight were psychological... he was dropped, not hurt).
Then along comes Julius Long - Audley Harrison's fourth pro opponent, for God's sake - and he's back in contention.
Yeah, he's exciting, and yes, he sells, but he's also one of the most technically limited boxers I've ever seen fighting at this top level. I mean, we all used to s****** at Frank Bruno, but big Frank looks like Ali compared to this crude, lunging clubber.
What really shocks me - shocks me, I tells ya! - is that supposedly learned, intelligent boxing fans on a boxing website could ever have predicted he would beat Klitschko.
What shocks me further is that those same fans who predicted he could beat one of the three most technically gifted fighters in the division are now predicting that he could beat the most technically gifted. Sure, Toney was in a bad shape last time out - he looked like a sack of **** to be frank - but, to use the old expression, Toney has "forgot more than Sam knows". JT is a boxing genius... Sam Peter doesn't even have a boxing brain.
James isn't a big guy and there's always the chance - bearing in mind that over 90% of his bouts have been fought OUTSIDE the heavyweight division - that he could get clocked. But against lunging Peter, who can probably punch, but doesn't know how to? Whatever the weight disadvantage - and Peter coming in so overweight will make this a party for James - Toney will never be so old, so vulnerable or so uninspired that he won't handle Peter with ease. If anything, it will be embarrassing to watch.
So please, I know the guy excites when knocking out D and even E class fighters, but after tomorrow let's forget serious talk about him being a champ. I like the guy, but the only time I really expect to see Sam Peter shouting "Who next?? WHO NEXT??" is when he's serving at the local McDonald's counter.
...and I picked Wladimir to win by decision over Peter last year.
I could be wrong; but I just can't see James winning this one.Comment

toney by stoppage, round 9, around 1:25 left in the round. james will be dancing around making peter look like a big dumbass while landing flush right hands until the ref is forced to stop it

Rahman is a big puncher with a great jab and better all-around skills than Peter and he couldn't put Toney on his ass. Hell, Toney looked like absolute **** that fight, didn't train properly, and still hung in for 12 rounds (i thought he lost a close fight). Toney is going to see Peter's wide, looping shots and counter. Toney is the worst possible match up for Peter. I think Peter beats anyone at HW except Klitschko and Toney. And I think he has a better shot against Klit than Toney because of Wlad's weak chin.Originally posted by K-DOGGValid points; but here's mine. Don't be surprised when the scorecards are read and it's like 10-2 or 11-1 in favor of Toney...Comment

Rahman is not the same kind of all or nothing kind of slugger that Peter is . Rahman to me seemed that he was happy to out box JT rather then take a chance go all out and maybe have Toney catch him coming in. All and all Rahman fought a smart fight but Peter as you said does not have the same tools to do the same, he just goes all out for the ko . Or i'll put it this way Peter is a pure slugger but Rahman is a boxer puncher they are in no way the same .Originally posted by SiNRahman is a big puncher with a great jab and better all-around skills than Peter and he couldn't put Toney on his ass.
