    lol.

    A) 115 year old in ring age Holyfield that's had everything beaten out of him prior to fighting Toney

    B) John Ruiz enough said. The guy was blasted out of the ring in 19 seconds by David Tua.

    C) Hasim Rahman who's chinny in the sense that he's not going to try and impose his will on Toney.

That's a pretty impressive list of champs. PFFFFFT.

Guys its the end of the line for Toney new era began when Maskaev became the 4th EEU champ, and it continues with the young blood in Peter.
Skill is never useless, but I think Toney is in trouble if he's in Rahman shape. If he's in better shape, I think he can handle Peter.

If Peter goes in their and tries to KTFO of Toney then he'll be tired by the middle rounds. I think he could have beaten Wlad if he had the energy to keep throwing punches. He did knock Wladimir down multiple times. Toney has experience, and is faster(although not really fast) than Peter. Only advantage I see is he's stronger, taller, and bigger.

Here's how i see the fight going.. Peter being extremely aggressive in the first half of the fight, trying to do exactly what he said he'd do and KO Toney, Toney uses his technical skills and defense to counter most of what Peter comes at him with, this pattern goes on for the first half of the fight.. later, Peter gets frustrated, not to mention tired, and Toney, remaining calm and composed, does his thing, outboxing Peter all the way to the end of the 12th bell..

i agree with most of this but watch, toney has a great chance of stopping peter the same way he did holyfield. peter will be so gassed by round 8/9 that toney will be landing flush on the jaw at will and the sheer acummulation of clean shots will force the ref to stop the fight

toney fights strong in the later rounds as well. man, i didn't expect peter to come in that heavy.

if james gets past round 4, I think this fight is all his.

                  Brilliant.

And this is just more evidence you don't know what you're talking about. All Rahman DID was take backwards steps. He was jabbing and backing up almost the entire time, and threw a handfull of right hands in the entire fight because he didn't want to get countered.

With the drivel you're posting, you'd think you're drunk already.

I agree, this is very surprising, but it makes sense. People always sided with Tyson for his power and still do to this day. People want excitement in the division. For some reason, they think Peter is the guy to bring it. I think Peter sucks. We'll find out on Saturday I guess.

Obviously I meant James Toney. "Sam" was a typo. Wlad won that fight because he was tall enough to keep moving, and put his jab and cross combination in Peter's fight all fight to keep him off balance. He was also strong enough to tie Peter up when he got too close. Wlad was the perfect fighter following the perfect gameplan to neutralize Peter's strengths. Toney does not have the jab, strength, hitting power, or the reach to do this. This fight is Peter's.
