There is not much to suggest that Torres is the homerun hitter you describe because his resume is complete garbage and we have very little to judge him by as far as power goes.

Cotto not having a size advantage? Thats bull****, if you have to kill yourself to make weight, you have a MAJOR size advantage no matter what. If you didint have the advantage, you wouldnt kill yourself to make weight.

Personally, i have ALL of Cottos fights, and as much as i want to believe in him, frankly, he has so many defensive holes, he does alot of things well, but when i think about matchups with the bigger names in the division, i wonder how many punches hes going to be able to take. Corley hurt him, Torres hurt him, i just wonder when he faces legit competition if someone is going to put him down permenetly. Cotto is a great puncher who paces himself, but he keeps his hands generally high and is open to the body.

I just dont know, however, I do like his resume, its respectable and filled with names people know and understand.

I'm not trying to convince you on the weight advantage issue. If you ever had to lose weight for any sport the way Cotto does and look Ethiopian before fights you'll understand he's taking a double beating in order to make weight right before the fight. IMO Arum kept him at 140 'cause that's where the big fights were, now its off to 147. Torres does not have a greate resume, he was undefeated with 28 wins, 26 KOs against unknowns. Can you measure power when you see him punching against a better fighter? Not necessarily, watching him on that fight, bringing those nasty upper cuts and over right hands gives you an idea HE DOES have power and speed. Corley did hurt him, thought he had him out on his feet, he also stunned PBF, can we assume PBF has no chin? Probably not.

You cant compare the PBF fight to Cotto, PBF looked breifly "troubled" but Cotto was visibly wobbled and had to hold on, i just looked at the fight today, along with about 9 other cotto fights (its my day off, these are what i spend my days off doing), and again, Cotto has looked "ready to go" twice already, with PBF this has NEVER been the case.

Not to mention PBF wasnt 17 lbs heavier than Cotto the day of their showdown. Nobody hardly ever lands a shot on PBF which is why even seeing him hit or briefly stunned is a big deal, but with Cotto i just see too many things that could lead him to seriously be hurt by someone who is actually on his level in terms of power and ability.

I see what your saying but if that was the case than Arum would have wanted to go ahead with the Mayweather and Hatton fights before he made it up to 147. It seemed as if Bob really didn't want those fights for Miguel.

And yes, Chop Chop did stun PBF but he didn't have PBF stumbling all over the ring. He caught him, Floyd shook it off after 20 seconds are so and went back to work. Cotto was leaning over so far I thought he was going to drop at any second. And a real finisher will capatilize on that since it is known that Chop Chop can't. (Floyd, Zab)

I agree with you and Black Jesus that PBF wasn't wobbling, but he did get stunned and twice. As I said before, Cotto was out on his feet. What I'm trying to explain is that Cotto had to weight himself 3 or 4 times for that fight. At that point you could tell making weight for him was taking its toll. I thought Torres jumped right on him once he hurt him and hit him in the ropes with some hard, clean shots and wasn't able to knock him out. We should wait to see him at 147 before judging his chin.

I'm not sure about the other chick, but with Gerards Avatar, she has an ass but just as important, a beautiful face to go along with it.

                    Agreed.

Corley did catch Cotto on the temple.
And Torres had at least a half a round (maybe more) to finish a hurt Cotto.

                    Neither did. That shows alot.

All I'm gonna say is, he could be a big star and with work be a top contender, although at the moment I wouldn't put him in against any of the top guys because he'll probably lose.
