What will become of Miguel Cotto?

Cotto is obviously a skilled boxer with determination and a good heart. He is also a fan favorite for his ability to overcome adversity. What will be his fate as a fighter?

his chin scares me. other than that, he's got all the tools he needs to beat most types of fighters.

i beleive he might end up as an overhyped hope , similer to jeff lacy but cotto as got a good chance to make it depending when hes camp ant him to step up , i aint sure of miguels age but im sure hes got youth on hes side more than the elite have around hes way so if he gets a defining fight with sum1 the way hatton got tszyu he cud become a modern great and look good doing it but if he takes on the elite now i think hel get beat several times

When he fights an elite fighter with power and a good chin he will get KO'd. Cotto's chin is ultimately what is going to hurt his career as a top level fighter.

Somewhere down the line he will meet one or all of Floyd Mayweather, Jose Luis Castillo, and Ricky Hatton, and he will come off second best in all three of those fights. I can see him getting a fair few more title defenses then going into a superfight.

People make too much of what happend against Torres. A guy who won something like all of his fights except for two by KO. I dont care how good anyones chin is, Cotto works the body well enough to break anyone down. What does fighting Vivian Harris do for him now though? Harris beat a blown up lightweight. He needs to fight someone else first.
