are you kidding? right after the fight i posted a number of ringside observers that all majorily had the fight for Winky.. like people from ESPN, Maxboxing, NY Times, etc.. -
I wonder if that is why Diego is not talking to me anymore......LOL When I said I scored the 12th for Winky he acted like I was completely out of line......Originally posted by Bozo_no noAnd the majority of people felt Winky won the 12th:

You think Taylor is smarter than Winky?Originally posted by Army of OneWhile I like Winky and totally respect him as a fighter, I don't see what he is going to do different in the rematch. Taylor is a pretty intelligent fighter and will come in knowing exactly how to execute his gameplan to obtain a victory.
While I think it would be possible for Wright to pull it out, I just don't feel it's going to happen.Comment

A strong majority of people scored the 12th for Winky. Taylor had little to no output and Winky threw and landed more.Originally posted by RAESAADI wonder if that is why Diego is not talking to me anymore......LOL When I said I scored the 12th for Winky he acted like I was completely out of line......
Diego knows nothing about scoring fights.
He goes around bullying people about scoring even rounds because he read or heard someone somewhere saying judges are discouraged from scoring even rounds. They are to an extent, but they ALL score even rounds all the time.
He sees someone say they scored an even round, and he pouces on them and starts lecturing.
The kid has no idea what he's talking about.
A year back he tells me he "scored" Tarver Jones 1 for Tarver. Then, after some times goes by he denies he ever said that and insists he scored it a draw.

Former undisputed junior middleweight champion Winky Wright (50-3-1, 25 KOs), tells the Star-Telegram that he still wants a shot at middleweight champion Jermain Taylor. Wright tells the paper that a rematch clause was in the contract, and he would like to hook up with Taylor one more time to settle the score.
Good! Then go for it.
It doesn't make sense that the number 2 man in the division would like to remain behind the champ's shadow through out his career while continuing to talk craps on how he thought he won the first fight.
If he really thought he won that first fight then he's got to prove it, like what Bhops did. If he loses again then, it's either he shuts up and continue with his career or he can opt to retire.
Winky is the only one among the present crops of fighters who has a good chance of giving Taylor his first "L".Last edited by psychopath; 08-29-2006, 05:12 PM.Comment

Yup! And I don't really have a problem if it went on either way because that maybe the closest that it can be. But a draw was the best thing that could happen.Originally posted by RAESAADWell thank god they did not truely rob him it was a draw remember.

If I was Oscar Delahoya, i'd tell Winky "you're FIRED!"
Here is Delahoya helping Winky out and he goes out and wants to fight him, not even asking Delahoya first if he'd be alright with them fighting again. Winky is a *****, and i'll be glad when he rematchs Taylor and Taylor knocks him out.Comment

Exactly my point. Winky fans generally say it was one-sided and a dominant performance, which proves how little they know about scoring fights. Taylor fans admit it was a close fight. Hell, even objective fans say a draw was the best score (and this doesn't include anyone with Winky avatars or Knives, or King Jaffe Joe Mama because they have proven their bias when it comes to Jermain Taylor over and over). Then you also have to figure in how many people are against Taylor for beating Hopkins twice. Taylor has been public enemy #1 since that first fight with Hopkins and will always be unjustly criticized for it.Originally posted by PBF34You dont get "worked" in a draw.
