You can make a case for Benn winning that fight, if Steele hadn't counted that slip as a knockdown in the last round then Benn would of won the fight anyway the way the scoring was. It's very subjective, taking the 'aggressor' factor into account and you can only say Benn lost three or four rounds at most. But others might say Benn only won one round, with their method on how to judge a fight.

I Had Collazo Winning 8-4 Against The Hitman, The Flash Kd Would Of Closed It Up Slightly To Something Like 115-112, There Were A Couple Of Rounds U Could Make A Case For Ricky Closing It To A 10/10 But I Prefer The Better Hand And Foot Speed Over Steady Pressure.....i Dont Think U Can Make A Case For Ricky Squeezing A Draw, There Are Obviously Certain Styles That Rickys Style Cannot Beat....just My 2 Cents..

Malinga just might of been a guy that would of beaten Benn every night of the year, but I don't believe that to be the case - Benn at his best would of disposed of him with little trouble. Benn only trained three or four weeks for the first Malinga fight, on his 'Anything Eu Can Do' campaign, and told his team that Malinga was a "three-round job" after seeing him look "awful" against Eubank.. he under-estimated him, found himself in the trenches, and then realised that he hadn't done his work! He gutted it out and deserved atleast a draw, because like you say Malinga was hardly doing anything.. Benn just had a lot trouble getting past that jab, but if he trained properly for the fight he'd of been that bit sharper.

The second fight was ofcourse post-McClellan, Benn was a shadow.. a shadow.
