There Are Obviously Certain Styles That Rickys Style Cannot Beat
Hatton doesn't have one set style. He can adapt, he has a lot in reserve. He can use educated pressure, he can use a beautiful darting jab and excellent footwork, he can vary his offense, vary his defense.. you need to see more of him.
The Collazo fight was hideous, take no notice of it. Kayes had just six weeks to put seven lbs of muscle onto Ricky's frame, and that turned him into a slug.
How do you know those users are alts of Anne-Marie (Anorak), anyway, SC?
He doesn't. I've already answered the question.
Don't tarnish Giant One's name by bringing him into it. Giant One is a long-term poster who's been around a lot longer than you and your ****ing alts, JuyJuy.
Hatton won that fight, but all of you guys have to agree that the fight with Collazo was the toughest one of his career. And you really couldn't say that was a gift decision when Hatton was fighting in the United States for the first time.
i scored it as 115-112 for hatton, you know, the guy who currently holds the WBA welterweight title. and the guy who won the match in question, legitimately i might add.
This still gets brought up in nearly every Hatton threads, so let's have a show of hands to see who thinks who won.
I have to admit, when I first saw the fight, I thought Hatton got a gift.
So I watched it again and paid closer attention to my scorepad. Now, as well as Collazo did from the southpaw stance (and he DID do well) he didn't, ISTR, even start getting involved in the fight until the fifth round. So the fight's entering the fifth, and he's already five points down with the first round KD. All Hatton has to do from rounds 5-12 is stay on his feet and win just TWO more rounds and he wins the fight, 114-113. Unless you disagree with Hatton winning the first four, that's simple mathematics. It was close, maybe he was lucky not to have KD called (though he didn't directly go down from a punch, so...) but he won the fight, fair and square.
But what say you?
I thought it was a draw giving Collazo a 10-9 score on last rd, it could've gone 10-8, but I guess the judges saw it 10-9. Merchant and Lampley were all over Hattons nuts that night and I think that might have something to do with the way some people scored it. I think rematch, but its not gonna happen.

I was watching on SKY, where they were hard on Hatton.
