First of all, who the **** is Bali? Second, Hopkins beat some great fighters in his career. Trinidad, DLH, Johnson, as well as a lot of fighters who were considered legit contenders. Hopkins beat some guys who people actually knew. When you do that (cuz you must be Antonio Margarito) then I'll give you some respect. Until then, stop acting like you deserve recognition.

floyd is so scared that he is fighting for LINEAR title at 147. What is margarito fighting for, you guessed it his BIGGEST PAYDAY ever, and if margarito doesn't shut his mouth PBF will make him wait even longer. Now go tell your boy margarito to man up and face Paul Williams and get punished

I started really following boxing for the past few years, many of you guys here know more than me on the subject, so correct me if I'm wrong (I welcome your criticism). Floyd has worked very hard to get to this point in his career, starting from his "win" at the olympics, to dominating various weight classes while maintaining an undefeated record. He is the best currently the best fighter in my and many others opinion. As we have seen time and time again, any boxer can possibly (slim as it might be) beat any other in any given night. With a record like that, you just don't want to fight anyone who calls you out. It has to be worth the risk of loosing (as slim as it might be). In the couple years that i followed boxing, the main reason i recognize Margaritos name, is because Floyd doesn't figh him. I think there u need a better reason than that to fight a fighter with Floyds caliber. What has Margarito done to deserve this fight. Instead of sitting around and complaining that Floyd is not fighting him, he should start fighting agains fighters that want to fight HIM (Paul Williams comes to mind). Make it so you bring enought to the table that Floyd can't afford not to fight you. I think currently Hatton and Cotto deserve the fight more than Margarito (not to mention Oscar or Shane).

I look at it like this: If Floyd, DLH, Mosley, Hatton, Cotto and Margarito all retired tomorrow, boxing fans in 20 years would only have forgotten 1 name from that list and its Margarito. Tell your grandkids that PBF ducked Margarito and they will say "who". Floyd is trying to fight guys who WILL be remembered, not guys that MIGHT be remembered.

You are absolutely correct about the exposure Margie is getting. It is 99% because of Floyd's name.

Lewis was damage good before fighting margarito ( remember mayorga?). Gomez is a taxi driver a c minus level fighter. Cintron had a very long layoff before fighting margarito which is bad for a young fighter.

marag should at least fight more well known opponents before challenging a guy like PBF but i dont blame Floyd for not taking the fight with maragrito marga is a dangerous opponent and is big for floyd who's normal weight is at jr. middleweight..

Mayweather fought Baldomir for $8 million and the linear title. Does that explain why he turned down $8 million for a paper title? I would think so.

1. PBF NEVER had intentions of fighting in August, like Arum was proposing for the $8 million to fight Margarito.

2. PBF was looking at DLH, Mosley, then Spinks or Baldomir or Cotto. In that order. Margarito was a no-name who meant nothing and still means very little to anyone.

3. After the DLH and Mosley fights fell through, the $8 million was "off the table". Funny how that worked out.
