Isn't it sad that a guy who was fighting a close fight with Santos is getting so much praise? Whether you had him winning or losing the fact that it was close should tell you that this guy is not as good as some people are making him out to be. I'm not saying that he isn't a good fighter, but lets be serious the guy hasn't seen good competition.

Isn't it sad that a guy who was fighting a close fight with Santos is getting so much praise? I don't even like him lol but despite my dislikement I do feel margarito is a worthy opponent for mayweather. everybody credits sharmba for being 2 time world champion and make a big deal out of it, well **** margarito is reigning welterweight champ why can't he get a shot?

I will give you one thing, Mitchell. Sharmba was a handpicked opponent to get Floyd a tuneup against a slick southpaw. If you remember, at the time Floyd was considering Judah and Winky for his next fight. Both are southpaws. He fought a good boxer, not a great one, but you have to give Mitchell credit for being a good talent. Gatti, however, was the champ at 140 and Floyd wanted the title. You can say that Gatti was a bum, but the fact remains that he was the champ.

A paper champ. I won't bring Hatton into the equation because there's enough evidence to suggest that it was hatton who turned the match down. But it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when Floyd is saying that there's no need to fight Cotto because he would beat him easily anyway. Maybe so... but seeing as he's only fighting similar competition anyway, why not prove it? There isn't much out there for Floyd right now, so he needs to take on everyone available within his weight classes.
