jet li is not really a fighter. he was a competitive wushu expert = an expert at the performance art(forms) part of martial arts.

I don't know why the article says he was scared, I don't think so. But then again I never know.

he may have thought that he was going to get his ass severely kicked. especially if there was a greater ratio than 1 to 3 against him or weapons were involved. remember, a street fight is a completely different animal than sport fighting - although they do overlap.

there is some pretty crazy **** that goes down in china. i remember one story i've read a few years ago about a gang stealing a full size escalator from the building site of a mall. and this was during broad daylight! they even used an on-the-site crane to lift the escalator into position to be able to move it. and again, this was during the middle of the day!

I dont think you understand what I mean, I know of his background and competitive world wu shu titles, im saying it in terms of somebody gettin ****ed up like jet li does in the movies, there is no need to get into detail like that.

i understood what you meant, but i just wanted to point it out as some people may not know this about jet. in fact, i believe i've heard him say that he's never actually even been into a real fight.

yup, except real chinese boxing is not pretty, but very, very effective.
