Adam Booth is Josh Kelly's trainer.

If that was Tunde Ajayi in all these British boxers' corner after they got disgraced & beaten up, the pitchfork would've been out. But no is talking about these rubbish trainers.

Tunde Ajayi might actually be the best British trainer since his boxer had no amateur background.

He was out of his depth. All flash but no bite & it falls on the trainer. The same Callum Smith & Josh Warrington's defeats fall on their trainers.

Yes. It’s not all in the trainer at all, the trainer has an influence but the fighter himself is absolutely key.

Callum smith lost to canelo,

Warrington clearly underestimated Lara (very similar to AJ Ruiz in many ways).

Josh stepped up to a level he hasn’t been before , and is still early in his career - and lost.

All are very different scenarios in reality. On this particular example I give him full credit for stepping up to a fight which many predicted could end in different ways for both fighters, instead of choosing yet another step up fight like many others do. The trainer is influential but not the complete reason. You don’t beat someone better than you purely by having the best trainer

You don't know **** about boxing.

Josh Warrington lost due to strategy/tactics. Same for Josh Kelly & Callum Smith. All due to trash trainers.

He's trash & was lucky Haye fell on his lap. Stop overrating these trash trainers.

I don't think booth is a great trainer, not at all.

But is emmanuel stewart not a great teacher because he didnt teach klitschko how to fight on the inside?

Booth should have taught kelly how to avoid close range and how to tie up on the inside better. How to control range with his jab and feet to slow down the pace and not get broken down over the rounds.

Requirement for inside fighting is a mix of top level durability, a good chin and asolid gas tank.

Kelly is not made for a war. He is too fragile, lacks power and fades too quickly. The thing he should have try his best to avoid is getting into exchanges with avanesyan.

It did seem bad advice to tell him to a sit on his chest and push him back.

He did it at the start of the 5th and got battered, swapped back to his boxing and stole the rest of the round for me.

He then went back to this tactic mid way through the 6th and that’s when he got stopped.

Would love to hear Booths thinking on it? Maybe trying to stop Ava’s come forward pressure? In theory it works but not when your fighter is getting his tank emptied trying to execute it

He is a great trainer.

Don Charles, Adam Booth, Peter Fury are the best trainers in the UK.

Booth has been behind some big wins for Haye & Groves etc

But I will say this? Booth seems to prefer to work with a certain style of fighter 'And likes his fighters implementing specific tactics'.

He does not really seem be on prolonged inside fighting, all phase attacks and ambush tactics.
