The writing was on the wall with the Paulie fight, but signs were there even earlier than that ... struggled with PDL, and even the Gavin Rees fight was embarrassing for him

He has consistently operated at the same level throughout his career yet there's this strange belief amongst fans and non-fans that he's capable of more? This result shouldn't have surprised anybody
b-b-but he looked great against ATG Demarco, doe!

Santiago lost, and they hate Broner. The fight got better in round 8.

And said fighter had quit boxing for 5 years shall I add!

I have nothing against Broner, but he didn't throw enough punches. He had a few good rounds, but I can't see how he won more than four or five. Round after round, Santiago landed more punches.

And I would complain less if the judges gave Broner a narrow win, maybe edged by the point deduction... But when they are scoring it 117-110 and 116-111, that's where the bias starts to become transparent.

Hary gave the round with the point deduction as a 10-8 to Broner. Santiago was whaling away at Broner in that round with little reply. He landed nearly 4 times as many punches as Broner in that round.

I saw the Compubox numbers. Santiago outlanded Broner 207 to 98. The scorecards of 117-110 and 116-111 for Broner are an absolute disgrace and really makes you think these judges are bought off. I had no idea what fight they were watching. When I heard the scores announced I thought Santiago had won.

Did you not see how nervous Broner was awaiting the judges decision? You could just see him thinking "Gee I hope uncle Al sent out all the envelopes on time"

                  ——-/——-

That’s why anyone who gets an opportunity to fight this uncouth Neanderthal should be gunning for a KO.
Without the two knockdowns Maidana might have been robbed.

Usual boxing robbery. It will never stop until people do jail time.

As much as anyone I Adrien Broner and have been a fan of his for a very long time but I have to be honest; He did not win that fight last night. The most that I could have given him was a gift draw and that's stretching it.

Broner came alive in the second half of the fight with sharp accurate counters. However, since the Maidana loss; AB has stopped walking his opponents down and backing them up which used to be his trademark.

Now he has become very hesitant and gun shy to throw any punches at all; Let alone a jab for fear of getting countered. Now he is fighting off the back foot more just pot-shotting, covering up and holding his opponents on the inside.

Santiago was constantly beating him to the punch all night long with his workrate and punch output. He was out punching Adrien by a margin of 3 to 1.
