Comments Thread For: Oscar Valdez To Shakur Stevenson: I Heard You Want To Fight - Let's Do It!

Oscar would make this fight a phone booth fight, KO's Stevenson on the inside....Oscar's grit & determination is a huge factor in beating Stevenson..Trainers aren’t miracle workers and I think if Reynoso has any say in it, he won’t let Valdez fight Stevenson. It’s one thing to get Valdez ready for a come forward brawler with limited foot movement and limited boxing skills, it’s another to get him ready for a lefty, slick boxer with good movement, jab, counter puncher, etc.Comment

Naw bro, you brought Nationality into it and thats insecure as f. There are tough Mexicans and there are p.ssy 1s just like there are blacks and whites and Europeans etc. Funny you only see the fanboys in 1 light.I believe the insecurity is more so with the fanboys who can’t even accept an opinion that’s different from theres. All I said was I believe the style that Stevenson presents would be challenging for Valdez and compared it to zahir Raheem vs Morales. And here came the usual cry babies whining just because they have a different opinion from what I wrote.
Anyways, got you on that mental ignore. Have fun living through other men.Comment

The work coming out of the Reynoso gym is just incredible right now. Iron sharpens iron and these guys are elevating themselves in a big way. Before the end of the year they could very well have more than 3 unified champions in their stable. Felicitaciones Chicos. Valdez style reminds me a lot of Jermell Charlo.Comment

Actually, you're wrong. Shakur never punched a girl, he punched a dude on the ground with a two-piece.

Shakur is better defensively but y’all act like Valdez is just a brawler. Valdez is a great boxer.
Hell adapt to what Shakur does and beat him. He’s too experienced for Stevenson.
Shakur hasn’t faced anyone above D level and Oscar is a solid A level fighter who’s faced some great opponentsLast edited by ralex; 02-21-2021, 02:07 PM.Comment

It’s crazy how people put Shakur on this pedestal like he’s done anything great. His biggest fight was against his girls brother. He’s never faced adversity. Doesn’t have any quality names on his resume. Has barely 15 fights. How is he any different than Ryan Garcia? And people think he beats Oscar Valdez right now who is in his prime? Is Shakur even at Regis Prograis level yet? 15 fights against 15 no names. But he’s going to beat a 2 division, undefeated veteran champion? How Sway?Comment
