That was scary for a moment. Good to hear he's alright.

The ref should have stopped the fight early that round, if not the round previous. I guess people do want to see big knockouts, but they really shouldn't have let it continue up to that point -- it was clearly over well before that.

I've always felt he's in for a very real fight in Valdez.
As opposed to everyone saying Berchelt is heavily favoured.

When was the first time you saw him in a 50/50 fight?
He's always been the favourite in every fight.

Was scared for berchelt . he looked like he wasn't breathing fr a minute . if I was a praying man I'd pray for him but I'm not. I knew Valdez could do it . was for berchelt like everyone else but leaned towards Oscar In the end .

Agreed,,,, I wonder if the network prefers to keep those of camera and the staff may have been instructed to make attempts at getting the fighter to walk off the ring,,, I didn't think they would release him so fast, glad he's ok

If that’s the case it’s a dangerous game they are playing. All made worse due to the fact that berchelt had taken some real punishment in that fight, two knockdowns, swollen face, and mate he looked bad when he went down. I watched that fight with about 5 other military veterans from the neighbourhood and all of them looked concerned. I thought we may be on our way to seeing another medical case. Very glad to hear that it didn’t happen. But they really need to have EMS on standby

                    Incompetence

Berchelt should never have been allowed to continue as long as the ref and his corner permitted. It was obvious to everyone that he was totally finished. This is why the long-term health of boxers get destroyed by the sport.
