    Did RJJ struggle with southpaws?

We talk like a prime Roy was unbeatable but did he struggle vs southpaws?

Lou Del Valle gave him a fight and seated a prime Roy.
    The Tarver fights..

He was way past it vs Lebedev but that is another southpaw that damn near killed him.

He beat Reggie Johnson who was a past prime southpaw in a complete stinker.
I'm not sure of anymore he fought off the top of my head but seems he had his fair share of struggles vs southpaws?

That rather forgettable one vs Calzaghe where he dropped Joe then proceeded to do absolutely nothing but shell up.

Again way past prime but still a shocking performance.

It's a good analysis that I'm sure a lot of us haven't factored.

Maybe left handed girls, but even though the opponents you mention gave hm some problems...on the surface, he certanly had no trouble with them. He completely outclassed De Valle. That is, until the Tarver fight. Anything after than is not a real part of his legacy. In my opinion.

For 10 years he toyed with every opponent. And in many cases, like Reggie Johnson, he ALLOWED them to finish out their fights. What he was cpapble of he showed in that he very often scored a KD in rd 1, and then backed off to make a fight for the fans. His desctruction of MontellGriffin showed what he REALLY was capable of, like no ither fight...

How many rounds did he lose against southpaws when he wasn’t finished? Not that many.

Tarver gave him a lot of problems, certainly wasn’t at this best then. And Tarver was very good.

I’d say the answer is no. Nothing I can see tells me that.
