Actually yeah that’s true. But I don’t think that makes the youngster any less attractive as an unbeaten former champ. David found a way to win and exploited the cut for a stoppage. Dirrell is more experienced and I would expect the more experienced ageing former champion to be a problem for a young thundercat

I agree. Benavidez is trash at cutting off the ring. The cut literally saved benavidez. My cousin whos a benavidez fan called the fight boring. He didn't impress

Hard to impress when one guy is backpedaling the entire fight and assuming he's outboxing his opponent. Benavidez barely got outta first gear in walking him down and beating him up. Cut or no cut, he was gonna beat Dirrell down the same way anyway. Dirrell did nothing to keep Benavidez off of him, so Benavidez just took his time and eventually got to him.
