Again, for the 5th time, I'm not saying HBO is racist, I'm saying they were BIASED. There is a big difference. I distinctly remember HBO desperately wanting Kelly Pavlik to beat Hopkins in that fight.

I think Lampley and Kellerman were fantastic commentators, but they did have a biased against a certain type of fighter. But man could Jim Lampley call a fight. And I'm not defending the LDBC as a whole, I'm saying that black fighters do often get treated unfairly, and that the Andre Ward and Tim Bradley example of how they treated Kovalev is how all announcers should do it.

What certain type of fighter were they biased against and why do you think that was the case? And I'm not even saying you are wrong as I'm in the UK so we got the UK coverage.

FFS Lampley was crying when Marquez KOd Pacquiao, Ward KO Kovalev, Alvarez KO Kovalev, and so on and so on. The difference is that an unbiased announcer like Mauro gets equally hyped when there's a knock out regardless of who the fighter is.

First one, neither are white, second one both are white.

Kellerman was a huge Whitaker fan. Early on in his career as ringside analyst he couldn't control himself, he was a Sweet Pea fanboy. He also defended that Butler guy who sucker punched Grant after Butler lost the fight. Said he should not be banned from boxing. Which white fighters has he unjustly praised throughout his career?

That doesn't matter anymore though, unless he's a fanboy of EVERY black boxer, he's a racist.

For what its worth, Lampley cried like a baby when talking about Gatti vs Ward 1 Round 9.
I do believe that HBO was biased with their preferred promotional favorite, or "house fighter", except for Roy Jones Jr. He was an excellent analysis. Also thought Paulie, regardless of the comment that he was fired for, was honest to a fault. To me Lennox Lewis, Tim Bradley, Andre Ward, Mauro Ranallo, RJJ, and Steve Farhood are all far from pushing an agenda. Max Kellerman is a good historian, with smooth verbal skills, and has been more open on Max on Boxing than he was on HBO.
Eff all this racist bs. People don't seem to realize that as a race, we are all becoming one. I have a blended family, just like half of my neighborhood, and in 30 - 40 years there won't be a box to check for ethnicity. It shouldn't be what some people try to make it.
