GGG vs. Jacobs. Hopkins vs. Pavlik. Hopkins vs. Calzaghe. Hopkins vs. Kovalev. Floyd vs. Ortiz. Floyd vs. Cotto. Donaire vs. Rigo. The list goes on forever.

Your list includes almost every race. Donaire? Pacquao? Ortiz?

That sort of list alone means we need to have some sort of alternative media to call this bull**** out.
Of the four people you named, the majority of the people on this site would call three of them boring. regardless of race. But yeah, better have an "alternative media" to call out the "bull****" behind calling Rigo boring. A fighter that Haymon isn't even showcasing because *get this* he's ****ing boring. A fighter whos only real exciting fight went untelevised because nobody wanted to bid on his boring ass. Or was that racist too?

You act like I'm saying we need to ban guys like Jim Lampley. I'm not, I'm for free speech. I'm just happy there are channels like Daunte's Boxing to expose how bull**** that ****** anti gatti list really is. If you think the anti gatti list is a good thing, by all means start your own channel and argue why.

When I try to research historical black fighters I definitely feel like the media is bias against them. There's a lot of lies. Like knowingly lied.

        Let me give an example

Anyone ever heard the story of Jack Dempsey vs Jack Johnson?

There's an article in the 80's magazine Fight Beat that was written by Lew Eskin and covered a private boxing match between Jack Johnson and Jack Dempsey, in 1921. Lew sources a 21 article from the Brooklyn Eagle. Which, if you look for it, you can find 1921 articles in the Eagle covering the private fight between Dempsey and Johnson in Canada. *Spoiler - Dempsey wins.*

What Fight Beat neglected to tell us is this is a reprint of a fantasy fight article.

The BE didn't claim to have covered any fight, they just reprinted a fight from the Chicago Tribune. At the end of the article from the BE there's a bit about the author, Ray Pearson, and the CT original. It very clearly explains the fight is a fantasy fight that never happened and is not being reported as real news, just fictional fun. If you look for the CT original, also a 21 article, Ray started his fantasy fight by being very clear it's a fantasy fight, and, this was just one in a series of fantasy fights by the author.

The Saskatoon Star reported a Dempsey wasn't even in the area, Dempsey was on the coast. And when Johnson came out of prison he went to Chicago then on to New York. Johnson was trying to get a fight with Harry Wills in New Jersey , but their commission vetoed it. Johnson was banned from fighting under NY sanctioned fights because at 43 he was 6 years over their then age limit of 37. Johnson next moved from NY to Philadelphia appearing nightly with others that included Ethel Waters ,and Fletcher Henderson with his Orchestra. It would have been difficult for Jack to make his way to Canada in 1921 without us knowing about it. He was in America trying to make decent fights and earn a bit of money.

So, did Fight Beat author Lew Eskin just not finish reading the article? Had he read the entire article, which isn't even broken up by page format or anything, done any sourcing for the article, or, looked at contemporary papers of the area he'd've known this fight was just a fantasy fight. I'm pretty sure he didn't just stop mid-way. I'm pretty sure the 80s had plenty of people in it who wanted to read an article about JD whooping JJ so he provided one and provided contemporary "proof" knowing full and well most of his audience will just take the snapshot of a newspaper article as the full deal and face value.

If they did it then I'm inclined to believe they still do it, but, I don't actually watch boxing news. Y'all keep me plenty informed.

To be honest I would agree with that statement. You do not even need to dig deep or go back 60 years etc... Just look at the last 15-20 years and you can see that they were.

Ridiculous. Implicit bias is impossible to prove, impossible to disprove, and is a very poor way to judge performance or personal character.
