I do not think that Max Kellerman, Jim Lampley, etc are racist. But they do have IMPLICIT BIAS towards fighters who look like them, read up on it. That's why we need media like the LDBC to counteract that,

Kellerman was a huge Whitaker fan. Early on in his career as ringside analyst he couldn't control himself, he was a Sweet Pea fanboy. He also defended that Butler guy who sucker punched Grant after Butler lost the fight. Said he should not be banned from boxing. Which white fighters has he unjustly praised throughout his career?

I think these guys see racism everywhere because they feel insecure about black Americans no longer being the dominant ethnicity and definitive “A side” in a much more diverse boxing scene is all it is. You would think the fact that damn near everybody’s GOAT and SGOAT are black would be enough.

It’s the same insecurity thats making white right wingers lash out and “make America great (ie white) again”... LDBC misses the ‘good old days’ when most of the great heavyweights were African Americans, the same way a lot of white Americans miss the ‘good old days’ when people of color “knew their place.”

That means they are choosing to say it how they see it in regards to Boxing rather than just side 100% with a fellow black fighter because he is black and that's when we hear "uncle Tom" or "Coon" slurs.
