going into survival mode is not showing balls or courage...did the same thing against Garcia/Pac and then ridiculously claimed he was robbed. Refuses to let his hands go and content to cruise to a decision loss against top fighters and collect his check...wont go out on his shield - no heart, courage, or balls!!!!!!!!!! Plz explain AB’s strategy, heart and balls in those fights - casual.

His strategies are trash in top fights, and honestly I feel the other fighters are just better than he is. But to say he went into survival mode is a stretch. He was simply outmatched and outgunned

Well he was handed two of them by beating unranked opponents for vacant titles at 130 and 140. So that’s due to politics.

He beat DeMarco who was #1 at 135, fair enough but that was a very weak 135 division.

Then at 147 he was handpicked the easiest possible title holder and he arguably lost it.

He’s never been the man at any weight class.

So it looks nice on paper but not when you put it into context.

And no one is dis*****g that distinction. However, what has happened after all that “accolade” is AB is nothing but a gate keeper at the tender age of 28.

That said, look at the guys he beat to be champion. Do you know who Carlos Claudio is? Or John Revish? Maybe Vicente Rodriguez?

All these belts were vacant. Including his gift win against Ponce De Leon for a vacant title. Some powerful guy made sure Broner was lined up for titles that nobody held against some overmatched opponents so Broner could be legit.

A four division champ should not be washed up at such a young age with literally zero memorable wins to his name.

You’re missing the point. The fact that he was the youngest 4 div champ in the history of boxing is literally meaningless at this point. Carries absolutely zero weight because he’s far removed from that.

It’s the same thing as me saying, “Mike Tyson is the youngest Heavyweight champion of the world!” That doesn’t matter anymore because the current Mike Tyson isn’t going to win a heavyweight championship. Current Mike Tyson isn’t the same as the 20 yr old Mike Tyson.

You are talking like it’s still 2013. The 2013 Broner isn’t the same as the 2021 Broner. What I’m saying and what everyone else in this thread is saying, is the Broner who was the youngest 4 division champion isn’t the same guy he is now.

Want to know why he gets so much hate? He is a wasted talent. He had the goods, but every time he had his back against the wall and he had to step up, he failed. He fails at the biggest stage and he always claims he’s going to be rededicated, and he doesn’t follow through. Same old story with Broner. That’s why he gets so much hate and honestly, Broner deserves all of the hate that he gets. He does it to himself and has no one to blame but himself.

Youngest 4 div champ in the history of boxing is great, but what good does it do you if you don’t do the work?

Accomplishments alone don’t win boxing matches. Hard work beats talent. We see it all the time. Broner is proof of it.
