The Clenbuterol steroids Canelo used to beat GGG should be taking its effect then! I thought GGG beat Canelo 'The Cheat' Alvarez twice. Only for some reason the Vegas judges thought the Mexican was a more markedable commodity than the Kazakhstan boxer. What would happen in a fight if Canelo would fight Andre Ward coming out of retirement in a mega fight (likely to one of the richest grossing fights in boxing history and one I'd love to see). Would the boxing mafia favour the Mexican with the movie star persona or the American Olympic golf medallist? My money would go on Ward getting the nod in a close decision. Ward is naturally the bigger guy but due to ring rust, this would be a fascinating match up.

I'm thinking about that myself... A Valdez KO win in rounds 9, 10 or 11 pays 67x, and in round 12, 81x... Yum!

I see Berchelt stopping Oscar in the latter half of the fight but damn, with those returns,i might just drop $100 on that Valdez KO between rds 9-11....Anyone recommend a site I can place it?

It's actually 67x for EACH of the three rounds in question, and 81x on the 12th.

I saw those odds on William Hill.

Berchelt is very hittable but has an okay (not weak) chin. Valdez cannot outwork or outbox Berchelt. Valdez must go in there and load up on shots, like Mosley did against Margarito. Put Berchelt on his backfoot. Berchelt can be knocked out. If Valdez uses the Cotto vs Margarito hit then move game plan, Valdez will lose.

Game plan is important in this one. Valdez has no fear; he will do everything to win but he must have right strategy.

This thread is about the Valdez/Berchelt fight. Canelo was/isn’t mentioned. Try to keep up. Read slowly if you need to.

when the bookies have a boxer at 3-1 against they are fairly sure he won't win.

at 10-1 they are pretty certain he won't win.

at 25-1 against that boxer needs a miracle.

As a point of reference - and think carefully about this - Oscar de la Hoya is at 80/1 to win the 2024 US presidential election!
