Very well explained. I must add, and this is something that might sound delusional but it isn´t, Canelo is from Mexico so had no experience fighting slick Afro-American boxers, so basically Canelo was surprised by Floyd but by no means was Canelo ever hurt, or in danger just mad because Floyd was basically pot shotting, hugging Canelo all the time, running, and the referee never deducted a point. There was no rematch for a reason. A Mexican-American like Victor Ortiz was giving Floyd hell, De La Hoya, or JL Castillo who had many fights in the US and knew about the slick Afro-American style. Maidana knew about it too, being trained by Mexican-American Robert Garcia and gave Floyd a beating twice but was robbed.Comment

not answering the question? I’m following up on my original point which you chose to comment on, so you’re actually the one deflecting. My original point was that Canelo has chosen to focus on fighting various white fighters while not even entertaining fights with either charlo bro when he was at 154, charlo or Andrade at 160 and didn’t entertain Benavidez when he was champ at 168. So I’ve established a pattern that if when some of these guys are his mandatory or are a possibility for a unification , canelo still doesn’t look their way. It’s clear that the only reason he wants to unify now is because it’s the easiest route to go and none of those guys I mentioned are in the way. That’s what you’re not getting. This was a calculated move. So as I said, these guys should fight each other because no matter what, canelo has made it clear that they’re not in his plans and we all know why.
Again. What's the hold up with Charlo moving up and challenging Plant?
If Charlo were to get the IBF and Canelo ducks him, then I'll be convinced he's doing the ducking. But as it is, Charlo and Andrade have put their careers on hold to see what Canelo's doing next. Pretty sad tbh.Comment

Still not answering. Just giving me your opinion on Canelo being some sort of racist or having a racial preference.

so now I called canelo racist? Stop reaching. I’m stating he definitely has a preference for who he wants to fight and has gone out of his way to avoid facing black American or even Mexican/Mexican American fighters. It’s more of a stylistic/risk reason than anything else. Can you think of one big name in boxing that has focused on facing as many white boxers as Canelo? If this plan of Saunders and plant goes through, 9 of his last 11 fights will be against white boxers. As far as what’s holding them up...I already said they should fight each other because Canelo isn’t looking their way , so it wouldn’t matter if they did or didn’t,so what’s your point?
What blacks are there at 168? They all happen to be white .
Andrade hasn't done shyt in his entire career to warrant Canelo chasing him.
What's Charlo doing? He made a million excuses to not fight Benavidez. And he said 168 wasn't his weight.
BTW, Both Andrade and Charlo haven't fought a black guy since 2016. What's going on there? Thet racists too? Or are there just not that many black boxers anymore fighting at a high level?Comment

Maybe blacks need to step up their game. Canelo had no problem fighting Lara.

Lets be honest, Plant is NOT giving Charlo a fight as long as he thinks he might get a shot at a Canelo payday. Claimming that Charlo, Andrade, Bivol or David need to fight Plant first is like saying "if there is a God can he make a rock he can't pick up?" It's ridiculous.
Canelo didn't fight his mandatory for the WBO or the WBC belts because they were tough. Canelo is fighting this mandatory because Yidirim is a punching bag.
Plant is making the right decision if he's next.Comment

The basis of your argument is a false premise. It only works if you assume that Canelo gives a shyt about professionalism. Canelo didn't take performance enhancing drugs for the sake of professionalism he did it in spite of it being one of the most unprofessional acts a fighter can commit.
There is no excuse here for either for Benavidez.
Plant won't fight Charlo or Benavidez because they'll beat him fairly easy. Plant has been fighting cans his entire career and he doesn't have the power to keep them off. Charlo, Canelo and Benavidez vs Plant would all play out like like Canelo vs Calum Smith, same, same, a one sided beating.
There are boxers boxing beside Alvarez and Plant. Charlo and Benavidez can fight each other.
Bivol vs Canelo at 168, 175 or any other weight will only happen when pigs fly.
True, fighters don't fight for free but lets not make believe Canelo is any different than Caleb Plant. Canelo is only fighting Yildrim, Plant and possibly 100 year old Golovkin because he is guaranteed to beat them and keep the myth and the money train rolling....and that's it. It's all about taking low risk fights for maximum money.Comment
