What are the last 7 opponents of Charlo, Andrade and Benavidez? List those.
charlo was champ at 154 when canelo said he wanted a belt there and instead canelo chose Liam smith, charlo was canelos wbc mandatory at mw and canelo didn’t fight him and let the wbc take his belt, charlo was offered to canelo for 25 mil this past December and he declined, so how do you figure that fighting plant will “secure” a canelo fight. Likewise, Benavidez was champion at 168 when canelo said he was “chasing history” and canelo picked Rocky fielding. I do agree that some of these guys should start fighting each other because obviously canelo is only interested in a certain kind of opponent and they don’t fit that description.

      Nope, next.
I never give Spence a pass and yes, he always seems to have a reason for NOT fighting Crawford.

That said, the last time Canelo fought a near prime best was Floyd. Canelo blatantly avoided multiple fighters and only fights the easiest mandatory's, names and old men.

So far, IMO, the only thing better than Canelo's skill set is his match making and the ability to avoid fights and get away with it.

There's always talk about how these guys don't really want the fight, or how the money isn't right, or how they haven't fought enough "names" to be worthy of the shot, but come on. Stop it. It's just a way to avoid a fight Canelo doesn't want.

As for Yildrim, he's a punching bag that won't last 6 rounds.
Alvarez wants to be undisputed at 168...meaning Benavidez should have been disciplined instead of losing his belt twice, then he would be in the sweepstakes.

As far as Andrade or Charlo, let them fight Plant (Charlo has the same advisor), if any of them beat Plant, they are next after BJS.

        Yidirim is a mandatory.

They can easily get the Canelo fight in September by fighting Plant in May. So what's the hold up?

Canelo is the problem, he simply does not want to fight David, Charlo, Bivol or Andrade at 160 or 168 or any other weight.

If fighting one of Canello's hand picked targets is the prerequisite you can forget it. Pillow hands Plant will never give a killer like Charlo (a guy Canelo avoided) a shot for any amount while Canelo dangles a payday. If anything Plant may fight another nobody while waiting for Canelo to make up his mind, BUt he is not fighting Charlo, Andrade, Bivol or Benavidez.

You may not agree but one thing is for absolutely certain...

If Canelo made an offer to Charlo, Andrade, Bivol or Benavidez they'd fight Canelo next Tuesday.

BTW, at one time I thought Saunders would be competitive but not anymore. The way he was negotiating was a red flag, like Plant he's just there just to collect a check on the way out.

Lets be honest, Plant is NOT giving Charlo a fight as long as he thinks he might get a shot at a Canelo payday. Claimming that Charlo, Andrade, Bivol or David need to fight Plant first is like saying "if there is a God can he make a rock he can't pick up?" It's ridiculous.

Canelo didn't fight his mandatory for the WBO or the WBC belts because they were tough. Canelo is fighting this mandatory because Yidirim is a punching bag.

He wants to unify at 168, if one of them get a belt at 168...they get the September fight. David lost his belt twice because he's not discipline so he has no excuse...why should Alvarez reward him for his unprofessionalism?

If I was Plant, I wouldn't fight any of them either...hold on to the golden ticket but maybe Haymon can talk him into fighting at least Charlo or Benavidez since he advises those 2.

Bivol is 175 lbs, Alvarez said he has no interest in returning to that division.

All fighter fight for a check, they don't do it for free.

A lot to unpack but if you're serious here are serious answers..

The basis of your argument is a false premise. It only works if you assume that Canelo gives a shyt about professionalism. Canelo didn't take performance enhancing drugs for the sake of professionalism he did it in spite of it being one of the most unprofessional acts a fighter can commit.

Plant won't fight Charlo or Benavidez because they'll beat him fairly easy. Plant has been fighting cans his entire career and he doesn't have the power to keep them off. Charlo, Canelo and Benavidez vs Plant would all play out like like Canelo vs Calum Smith, same, same, a one sided beating.

Bivol vs Canelo at 168, 175 or any other weight will only happen when pigs fly.

True, fighters don't fight for free but lets not make believe Canelo is any different than Caleb Plant. Canelo is only fighting Yildrim, Plant and possibly 100 year old Golovkin because he is guaranteed to beat them and keep the myth and the money train rolling....and that's it. It's all about taking low risk fights for maximum money.
