If being the biggest little word in the dictionary aside. What if Crawford fights Porter and is the first one to stop him? Does Crawfords stock go up? Does he get credit for stopping the guy that nobody else has even though he has been beat before?

If Crawford fights and beats Shawn Porter WITH NO ASTERISKS - meaning, no BS ref stoppage, no fake hand injury, no low blows, Porter not injured, etc. - straight up beats him fair and square, it's major credit all over the board. Period.

How can it not be? Porter takes everyone to deep waters. Nobody has beat him decisively. Even Spence couldn't get more than 7 rounds worth - that knockdown was the clincher.

That's why I've been pushing for Crawford to fight Porter and (hopefully) PROVE he's the better guy, by beating Shawn Porter ideally better than even Spence could. That sends a HUGE message.

Fact is, I think Porter beats Crawford. I want Crawford to prove me wrong. WITHOUT asterisks. I'd LOVE to see Crawford get a clear, clean win against a top guy. THEN I'll accept that he's at least #2 in the division. I don't care if it's Porter or Keef, really.

To be fair, Crawford isn't a young spring chicken himself. So it's fine; let these two OLD guys have at it.

Because think about it - if Manny beats him like he beat Keef, we can then shut up about Keef being washed and just say that Manny is still in it. Especially if Manny fights Crawford with NO random drug testing.

So let Crawford say what Keef said: "Let him TAKE WHATEVER HE WANTS!"

Then let's see if Crawford can beat juiced Manny Pacquiao without asterisks.

No-one is fronting up $50m in guarantees for that fight in the present climate. I doubt anyone is next year either tbh.

Crawford's contract with top rank is up when? October? He won't be seeing any PBC fighters in the ring before then, including Porter.

horn who was a wrestler and changed his style when he fought crawford. so the people will forget that he was once wrestled with pac in the ring.. too obvious moves which when he does it cost him the fight.. no chance to win if he didn't fight dirty.

I think Crawford stops Porter. No asterisks no B.S. just plain out wins against him like no one else has and honestly I'm a fan of Porter. The guy goes toe to toe with ANY welterweight out there right now and is super fun to watch but my gut tells me that Crawford manages to land that perfect shot and gets the knockout. I have been wrong before though. I just wanna see them fight more than anything and if they do I'll root for Porter but who I'm rooting for unfortunately wont decide the outcome.
