Canelo gave up the 160 strap to avoid Charlo! He wants no part of benivedez at 168 either! Don't forget about gilberto Ramirez!!! Why fight Billy ho? Lol.. Oh.. I know! Lol.

So he's staying at 168 for the remainder of his career.. hmm.. I do find it weird how it went from not being able to make 154, to fighting in his own weight class of 155 cause he wasn't at 160 pounder or wasn't ready for GGG. To fighting Chavez at 164.5, To having only 3 fights at 160 in the middle of which included a trip to 168. Then he left to 175, never returned to 160 because he didn't want or couldn't make the weight anymore. Now he's about to spend the next 6-7 years of his career in one weight class...

            Lotta interesting maneuvers here.

It’s a mandatory/tune-up. He just fought in December and he’s fighting again in May. I don’t see the problem

The problem is that Canelo is not going to fight low drawing 'eye test' fighters. And that's who most here on NSB want people to fight, are the guys THEY think are good (even though they can't draw money).

Canelo is doing what Crawford should be doing - which is chasing greatness. A titleholder in FOUR weight classes, holding belts in and defending two of them at the same time, has only ever lost to The Best to Ever do it, and he keeps beating champions.

It's sad that someone like that, with that many fights, that many wins, that many titles gets hated on simply because he won't fight 'eye test' guys that can't draw any money.

I saw someone talk about Billy Juice Saunders. Hearn not one week ago just said it's next after Yildirim, which is a MANDATORY. But Billy Juice is fairly unheralded himself. His best win is Lemieux!

Well if he becomes undisputed this year then ends off the year fighting the 3rd fight with GGG
like he plans and finally fights guys like Benavidez and Charlo then he'll shut up all the critics.

And if he gets to 70 or 80 fights great. It would be somewhat of a throwback to back in the day when fighter actually fought. How long did Chavez go without a loss? Go further back to Sugar Ray Robinson

in the span of a year he would have fought all 3 champions in his division... but yeah, whatever...
