To fighting Chavez at 164.5, To having only 3 fights at 160 in the middle of which included a trip to 168. Then he left to 175, never returned to 160 because he didn't want or couldn't make the weight anymore. Now he's about to spend the next 6-7 years of his career in one weight class...

    Lotta interesting maneuvers here.
Hypothetically speaking if he does become Undisputed this year, what is he going to do from there? Hypothetically hopefully defend his titles until the end of his career? Or does he let one or more go?

When was this the plan? What did I miss?

He needs to be fighting Charlo, GGG 3, Andrade, Benavidez, Plant, Beterbiev, Bivol, Ward and maybe Billy Joe. Instead he's fighting Yildirim, Callum Smith, and a defeated Kovalev.

Canelo is doing what Crawford should be doing - which is chasing greatness. A titleholder in FOUR weight classes, holding belts in and defending two of them at the same time, has only ever lost to The Best to Ever do it, and he keeps beating champions.

It's sad that someone like that, with that many fights, that many wins, that many titles gets hated on simply because he won't fight 'eye test' guys that can't draw any money.

I saw someone talk about Billy Juice Saunders. Hearn not one week ago just said it's next after Yildirim, which is a MANDATORY. But Billy Juice is fairly unheralded himself. His best win is Lemieux!
The “eye test” guys with low ratings need to fight each other so they can make themselves more attractive opponents.

Billy Joe Saunders is getting the Canelo fight because he has a belt at 168. With that in mind, the “eye test” guys should be looking to become mandatories and title-holders at 168.

Caleb Plant is probably next up in September because he too has a belt. These guys need to stop waiting and start taking 50-50 fights or close to it

Cool. Looking forward to seeing how he fares when he’s 35/36 fighting top guys in their mid 20s the way he liked to do it. That’s of course is only if he’s willing to fight top guys at that age.

canelo never said that, try reading the article next time...

For the moment, he's not even considering the possibility of returning to light heavyweight.

"No, [fighting at] 175, no. [My trainer] Eddy [Reynoso] already told me not to fight in that division, because I'm giving away too many advantages. Right now we are focused on winning these titles [at 168]," Canelo said.

We informing the part where he’s planning to fight BJS and Plant later this year? After that you’ll just say he needs to fight Andrade and charlo

People should really stop mentioning charlo he himself said he’s a “160lb” not a 168. Plus he ducked the fight already.

I wouldn't mind if he retired after plant cashes out.

In actuality, people want to see Canelo overcome adversity. 15 years in and we haven't really seen it yet. Part of the reason is Canelo's choice of opponents. Its been almost 3 years since we seen him fight someone with a solid chance to win. If Canelo wants to chase gold then he should go ahead. But when he's retired he'll have to answer why he didn't fight guys like Charlo, Ward, GGG3 or Benavidez.

1st off try minding your business next time. 2nd "for the moment" is not a quote by Canelo nor would it make sense had he said that cause it would be a contradiction to what he actually DID say. This is simple process of elimination, he JUST said Reynoso told him not to fight in that weight class cause hes giving up too many advantages.

3rd next time step your interpretation skills up & come correct or proceed to get corrected again.
