Crawford asking 60/40 for Spence was fine by the same clowns saying this is Pacquiao pricing himself out. If Crawford and Arum don't accept, this is a duck. Those bogus offers to guys like Danny Garcia were called ducks so this can go the same route. Either accept the offer or it's a duck.

SO here's the thing.

I don't consider Manny asking for 40 million as pricing himself out specifically, but it makes me question why Manny refused to book a fight with Errol Spence when they were both PBC, Manny went in the ring with Spence and said "yes" to a fight after Spence blew out Mikey, Manny claimed he wanted to unify, so does Spence...so what's the problem?

That's the bad look here. Why are you asking for a number that we know Arum isn't going to do AFTER Arum trashed Crawford for not being a draw?

It's like the inverse of what Porter said - you're asking for a number you know will get rejected so you can say "I tried to make the fight". That's what this feels like, honestly.

Now, if Arum gives in and gives Manny what he wants, it exposes Arum as a liar about the money and pisses a LOT of fighters off. Especially Teofimo.

But we know he won't. So Crawford looks bad.

I’m not a Pacquiao fan. I’m a fan of making sense.

Pacquiao has fought opponents better than Crawford.

How is Crawford so good? He’s fought no one to prove that. What are his latest big wins? Two guys who used to be considered good and were no longer top 10 when he fought them, Khan and Brook.

The title of “best” is earned by fighting the best. Crawford hasn’t fought the best of his division since like Postol.

I will not give Crawford such praise.

So yeah, Pacquiao has fought better fighters. Mayweather, MAB, Morales, Marquez, Bradley, Cotto, Hatton, Thurman are all better fighters than Crawford because they all have better wins than him.

I’ll give Crawford the distinction of being, as a win, at the level of Jessie Vargas/Joshua Clottey. Which is not bad, actually a good win. But I wouldn’t list Crawford among the best. Sorry, 33 years old and has fought next to nothing in his career out of Postol and Gamboa. His biggest accomplishment so far has been to be regarded as a top 3 P4P fighter based on how he looks like against subpar opponents and guys who used to be good. Pacquiao put in his work with real wins and earned his #1 P4P spot back then, by fighting actual top guys regarded as good fighters by everyone.

When did Crawford become better than Morales and Barrera?

Barrera and Morales were both good fighters but neither of them in the entire careers achieved the dominance in multiple weight divisions that Crawford has. But I know that you probably don’t truly believe Erik Morales or Marco Antonio Barrera are better than Crawford. Its just an audacious statement that some people like you will try make themselves believe.

So much disrespect to Cotto. Cotto has fought Margarito, Mayweather, Pac, Canelo, Judah, Mosley in WW. The level of fighters and the names he has faced. Crawford has no name to show on that level Cotto has. You dont look as great when facing the highest competition. Cotto has fought in the highest level but Bud has not yet. So it is unfair to compare the two esp when Cotto cant defend himself in the ring anymore.

You just listed 4 opponents that Cotto lost to. I don’t see how that supports your argument.

If Pac wants $40M and Crawford wants $10M, this fight will need to sell over to 700K PPVs at $75 a pop to break even. Likely more if cable company gets 30% or better of the take.
