He was also the two belt champ undefeated top guy at ww who beat two top ww's to get there.
I give Pacquiao full credit, and believe that he deserves credit for that victory, but to assume that Mayweather ducked Thurman is just very questionable. By this criteria, alot of fighters ducked eachother.

C'mon. Thurman was mandatory to Floyd's WBC belt for years, and was calling him out for years. Nobody would give Floyd flak for fighting Manny over Thurman, but Berto? Sounds pretty legit to me.
Much respect for giving Manny full credit for beating Thurman.
Barrera (yes he was. He went on to plenty more wins after Pac loss and was only like 30 years old when he fought Pac.) Ledwaba, David Diaz, Marquez, Larios, Jorge Julio (retired shortly after this loss and Vasquez right after), Clottey, Margarito (for what it's worth. He had only just been beaten by Mosley due to lack of hand wraps), Cotto (tricky because I thought Cotto was beast at 140lbs but discovered a new career at 147+, yet not as dominant as 140lbs so I'm not sure 147+lbs Cotto was true form Cotto), Bradley, Rios, Algieri, Vargas, Horn, Broner.
I agree lots of C-B level guys were prime in the early part same for Floyd, the thread should be what elite prime guys did Manny fight that narrows the field way down.
how about we breakdown who did they cherry pick during their prime? that's would be the determining factor of who is the best.
