explain to me how beating murata right now isnt better than beating callum smith coming off a loss to john ryder? smith would not be in the top 5 if that fight was properly scored or are you going to pretend he won that fight? and then pretend you are mr neutral 2 minutes later? also being better than smith doesnt mean much. the guy sucks

who did he fight in that tournament though? pretty short on details there. he had that one good win against groves yes although groves was at the end of his career its still a good quality win. the rest of the tournament fighters were nobodies. and what happened after that... smith clearly lost to john ryder who was unranked at the time, smith lost so badly that the ring put ryder in the top 10 after losing. that doesnt happen unless its clearly a bad decision.

now murata lost to brant who i think was also unranked but he avenged that loss. if you want to compare resumes murata has 2 top 10 wins to smiths 1. if smith had avenged that ryder loss then yes i would give him the slight edge over murata but as of now i give the slight edge to murata. you are acting like smith is some amazing fighter for some reason. hes not. he doesnt have the resume to back that. if you want to say hes got a slight edge over murata thats fair but he was also coming off a loss so thats why i think murata not coming off a loss is better

Here are two of my posts about Canelo-Yildrim from late December

If all goes according to plan, Canelo will have faced Smith, Yildrim, and then maybe BJS in a 6 month span.

No one else would have 2 fights as good as BJS and Smith in that span. He is also throwing in a tune up in between, in front of his hometown.
