That's a crazy comparison. Canelo in his prime is at 160lbs and around the GGG fight. Mayweather in his prime was at 147lbs...and before he fought Pacquiao. With that being said, had Mayweather given Canelo a rematch before he retired 3 years ago, Canelo would've probably won. Mayweather was not in his prime 3 years ago. He didn't fight elite fighters late in his career - just hand picked opponents. He also stopped mixing it up and letting his hands go. When he fought Canelo, Canelo, while good, was hand picked and not nearly as good as he is now. But then there are dirty tests talks that come into the equation with Canelo these days. This was a weird statement by Ryan. Their primes were at clearly different weight classes.
