Andrade finally gets some sort of WBO title. Thats a good first step to getting a real title. I hope another real champ fights him now.

andrade is a cautionary tale to american black fighters who sign to dazn. eddie is doing his best but it's just nothing there for an american black fighter. dazn has uk fights and the uk people don't like you or want to see you. or you have golden boy fights in southern california only and golden boy is really just a regional promotion (especially with out canelo). every fight is in LA or indio, california. their crowds are 80-90 percent mexican. eddie hearn sincerely tried to help andrade as much as he could but eddie has no real connections in the usa or any real understanding of how to get american black fans (although i think he is trying to learn) to come out to dazn events. he got andrade a belt and eddie helped a guy like tevin farmer who had very little hope of fan support anyway, but if eddie signed the charlos or broner or crawford they would pretty much have to sell the whole thing themselves if they could.
devin haney is successful as an american black dazn fighter because he has a different deal and pretty much promotes himself. haney pretty much sells himself as a free agent pbc guy. (which is where he will likely end up fairly soon) to have success and draw his possible fans andrade would have to do the same thing, go on ldbc type channels constantly. pick verbal fights on those platforms with the charlos, eubank, plant, devo, etc. maybe fight pbc leftovers like brandon adams (sulecki his most successful fight is a good example) in his voluntaries.
andrade's only other option would be to base himself in the uk and sell himself as a villainous uk hater maybe have an occasional hometown fight. from the looks of the chat, that might work for him.
the real question for the future is eddie hearn has a lot of young quality usa prospects most of them black and eastern european, "can eddie and dazn build a usa fan base by the time they are ready to be champions". they all can't go to the uk and be uk wwe villains. eddie can do it. he has to get in the rap crowd on social media. he may have to hire promoters like dibella and salida. eddie needs to hit that same ldbc circuit that haney hits. 100 year old bob arum still hits the ldbc circuit regularly.
the wilder joshua controversy made most american black casual fans think that dazn is anti black american. so those moves by eddie would reverse that some or even a great deal. after covid ends i believe that dazn should get usa rights to some college basketball and football at the mid major level and maybe usa amateur boxing. "grow your own" show golden gloves and nationals.

I agree with you 100% except for your optimism of DAZASTER/Eddie being able to eventually succeed in the US. Dazn's fate was sealed the minute eddie came over here with that conquering colonizer BS! He pissed off the wrong crowd in US boxing. I think he now realizes thinking HBO boxing was the pulse of US boxing was wrong. He now knows where the driving force of successful boxing events is generated. AL HAYMON BABY!!!

technically Munguia should have a priority over Williams as a mando but Andrade-Williams and Golovkin-Munguia are both good match-ups, Hearn should be happy, winners fight in september, winner (40-year old Golovkin) fights Canelo in 2022

Munguia was offered the fight. He is the number one contender and he got first option but of course he turned it down ! That’s why it went to Williams A while ago.

GGG was also offered a Unification fight with Andrade Just a few weeks ago By Matchroom but of course he turned it down... again...

Saunders supposedly wanted the fight but got paid off by Canelo big time NOT to fight Andrade because Canelo Wanted to secure Saunders for May because Canelo had been offered Andrade In the past and turned it down and Canelo wanted to Make sure Andrade didn’t get in the way of his 168lb unification fight and even Matchroom didn’t want to lose Canelo to PBC and Plant in May

You want proof? Simple... Since when does Canelo book two fights ahead ? Usually he won’t even let his current opponent know he’s fighting until 4-6 weeks out. And now he’s booking Saunders AFTER his next fight and 5 months ahead of time. Canelo wants NOTHING do to with Andrade !

Eddie Hearn protected BJS & I'm willing to bet MTK did as well. Eddie applied for an extension to wait on Canelo's fight. The only concern Andrade spoke about was BJS actions. He understandably so, said he didn't trust BJS. From what I can see Andrade did all he could but the promoter & politics have a protection plan issued..


Where did you get this information from?

The WBO rules don't require him to vacate to fight BJS. Had they fought at 168, Andrade would have a short time frame (I believe 10 days if I'm not mistaken) to decide if he was going to continue being champion at 60 or 68. But he can't simultaneously hold both belts in 2 divisions going forward.

Andrade thought he had 10 days too until the WBO sent him a letter and told him that he had to vacate to move up and become the number one. Apparently you have to be designated a SUPER Champion To get that opportunity or the championship committee has to “rule on it” and they decide if you can do that and they decided otherwise.
