I like Caleb T but think its time he hung em up. He's achieved a lot & can be proud. If he sticks around he might win the odd fight but he'll be sliding the whole time & taking punishment, He's an intelligent young man with a life in front of him outside those ropes.

I agree he didn't land a single meaningful punch until round 8 and just looked slow and like most his punches had nothing on them. He already did well for himself and took the belt from Degale in his country that's a good accomplishment for someone who had to rebuild after getting starched by Dirrell and Jacobs at least he can retire a former champion that actually beat a decent fighter to win a belt.

I don’t know what the hell,

You can talk about with your family when you lost 120-108, except let’s call it a career and move on with your next project while still young.

He is the same level as Callum Smith IMO.
Couldn’t agree more. White American boxers at the top level have been a rarity since the 80s and early 90s it seems with guys like Pazienza, Haugen, Dorsey, Mancini, Gatti (though Canadian he fought out of the USA), Van Horn, Spadafora etc etc. It’s good to see white Americans return to the sport in guys like Plant, Milnecki, Spencer etc. I works them all great luck, their success is good for the sport in the USA

Depends on whether or not his roots are deep enough, don't you think?

I'm a big Plant fan. Having said that, Plant has an elusive style, but he's not Toney, Pernell, Locche, Pep, or Floyd elusive. He still gets hit too much. In him against Uzcategui, I ask myself would Canelo or Benavidez look busted up like that after fighting Uzacategui? Then I watched each time he was hit against Truaux, his mistakes, his face after the fight. Canelo and Benavidez have way more skills, speed and power than Truaux. In those same situations, how would each guy capitalize on Plant's mistakes, and what traps would they set? I've seen Plant busted up and swollen in several fights. So while he's elusive, he still has a lot of mistakes to fix b4 facing either guy.
Then I think of Willie Pep vs. Sandy Saddler. Pep was very elusive. 230 wins, only 11 losses over 26 years. The last 19 of those years came after he went down in a plane crash and was never supposed to walk again. Pep was an incredible fighter. Of his 11 loses, 3 were by KO to Saddler. Saddler was tall, rangy, super aggressive, physically strong, rough, murder in the clinch, and punched extremely hard with both hands. He also never got tired or faded, and had an iron chin. As elusive as Pep was and as great as his jab was, Saddler was just too big, strong and good for him. He had nothing to keep Saddler off him. Even though Canelo is short, he's also elusive, has a great jab, tremendous speed and power, high ring IQ, timing, and a neck like a fire hydrant. He's built like a tank from the legs all the way up. And Benavidez is tall, rangy, high ring IQ, and very strong. I see Pep vs. Saddler in both of these fights. Even if Plant fixed his mistakes, & got more experience, he'd need to be 2 or maybe 3x's as strong as he is now to beat either guy or he'd get no respect, get walked down, beat up, and stopped

                absolutely spot on there

I just don't get the impression he is going to wilt anytime soon, i really think he could be a perennial contender & if anyone beats him they will really have to grasp the nettle
