That means the WBA will let manny take his time in choosing an easy opponent because they want those fees that come with the fight.

I am starting to believe Boxing is the New WWF

all these dam champions and super champs, all nations champ, Backyard world champ. The sport is being ruined by greed! They should have just stripped Manny dam it's been 2 years since he fought that bum Thurman who also want to be great but fight once every 3 years.

      This Sh_t unreal!

Yeah Id never heard of it before obviously there was discussion between the WBA and Manny so he must be fine with it as a way avoid Spence.

Manny should just retire and go fight exhibitions he is just lingering now.

He DID mention Spence. Called him "slow". But refused to prove it.

Ugas beat Crawford in the amateurs. I don't see it as easy as you do. Does Crawford win? Probably. But not a blowout. Probably goes similar to Benavidez with Ugas getting caught late with something.

Maybe he is thinking of retiring now that he is, you know, 42 and all. Are you ducking when you are in your 40s and not fighting anyone?
You're ducking when you hold a championship belt for TWO YEARS and refuse to defend it.

I'll give him a slide on 6 months due to being in session. Other than that, he had chances and didn't take them.

AND...frankly, he should have been wanting to defend the title INSTEAD OF fighting Ryan. Then, when he's actually retired, do whatever exhibition you feel like doing.

Pandemic is no excuse when Porter, Spence, Danny Swift and Crawford all fought during it.

Him having a belt is/was the real problem. If he didn't win the belt OR he willingly vacated immediately after winning it, there wouldn't be that much issue.

As-is it strongly feels like he didn't expect Spence to get past Danny Swift and when Spence did, he started to feel walls closing in on him.

I get the distinct impression he doesn't want to fight Errol Spence. I don't blame him, but then just vacate the belt, don't hold it hostage like that.

I'd have rather him not even fought Keef for it in the first place.

It's about damn time, he was holding up the division. Now, im thinking Spence vs Thurman & Bud vs Ugas, then the winners fight for undisputed.

You might be right Ugas is a bit of a dark horse, TC has improved a lot since the amateurs has a lot more power now as well, interesting fight.

I dont know why Thurman is even mentioned, his current form is terrible and engulfed with surgery and years out of the ring, he needs to earn a title shot.

Maybe, but remember, Crawford has been rocked by Gamboa and Kavaliauskas, jabbed to hell by Brook and Khan. Means he's hittable.

Ugas is precise. Doesn't have significant power, but he's precise, and he fights tall with a rangy jab. Plus he digs to the body very well when he plants.

His ONLY weakness - and why I say he gets caught late?

Against Porter: Shawn lost the first half, clearly, caught up.

Against Ramos: Ramos lost the first half, clearly, caught up.

Ugas seems to start making silly mistakes around round 6. Every fight I've seen of his, it's the same thing.

I can't tell if he gasses or what's going on, but like with Ramos...Ramos was punishing Ugas in the championship rounds and Ugas wasn't even able to block effectively. He can't be like that against Crawford who's a late starter, and if he fights Spence who's way more precise and way better with timing, Spence will dissect him inside of 9 rounds, Algieri style.
