I'm all for that fight getting made, both guys seem to want it but IDK what the hold up is. Making fights between promoters is tough sometimes. idk if it's Al or Eddie's fault.

But.

Andrade has the same promoter (for now) as canelo. Notice I didn't even mention Charlo. We all know the Andrade vs. Canelo fight can be made in a snap, the only obstacle is does canelo want it or not?

Andrade is a high risk low reward fight. He has nothing for Canelo, Golovkin or even Charlo.

His career could be summed up in a booked titled 'How not to manage and promote a talented boxer'.

Charlo had the opportunity to be FOTY, make a name for himself this year by unifying with Andrade in Feb/March, getting the IBF from Plant in May, and unifying at 168 vs Canelo. He would've been undisputed at 160 and 168. Instead of making those boss moves, he cries about not getting an opportunity to fight for a big payday while preserving that "0". Pathetic.

Nope. Canelo can fight. I don't like him because of the drug test, caneloweight, not giving rematches to Lara and trout, and all the sketchy **** he's done in his career, but I'm honest that he can fight. There aren't many special fighters, or fighters who I think can be special, in and around canelo's weight. Those special fighters are Andrade, Charlo, Bivol, Beterbiev. I don't wanna see BJS, Plant, Benavidez cuz we already know canelo better than them. And that's a compliment to Canelo, but at the same time I want to see the best fight the best so we really know who #1 p4p is. Cant' just call urself #1 p4p.

I would take Benavidez over Andrade and possibly Charlo and Plant over Andrade. Andrade is talented but he doesn't have even one great victory at 32 years old.

Hey Canelo fanboys, how do you justify giving a big payday to a known drug cheat and overall terrible terrible person, Billy HOE Saunders, but not Demetrius Andrade, a good role model and an even better fighter??

I respect your opinion that Andrade is a better fighter, and I agree that Billy Joe has exhibited some scumbag behavior. However, you cannot really think that Andrade being a better role model needs to factor into fight promotions. I mean, the annals of boxing are full of crummy people. Mike Tyson got title shots after a **** conviction and becoming a registered sex offender. Floyd Mayweather was a great champion, but a known beater of women. Kovalev is a drunken woman-beater. Bobby Czyz had more DUI's than wins in title fights; on and on it goes.

I hope that Andrade gets the big fights he deserves, but in the unfortunate reality of pro boxing, him being a good man won't make much difference.

The only thing I can say is that could have been all Oscar and not Canelo who was not willing to make those fights. Now that Canelo is free to do as he wishes why not wait to see what he does. Charlo and Andrade bring no money to the table though so would they be willing to take less money than Canelo opponents make? How about the fact that Jermell went on record stating his brother declined the contract to fight Canelo? How can you say Canelo is ducking Jermall now?

So Canelo had a 3 fight offer from PBC for 75 mil guaranteed to face Plant, Charlo and a third fight which possibly could’ve been Benavidez, but he turned that down to take less money to face Smith, Yidilgrim and Saunders? Does it really need to be made much clearer what’s going on here?

How much is he making to fight those three?
