Good, now that that's over, everyone else from 160-168 can resume normal activities! My wish would be Plant vs. Benavidez in June, but Plant is salty because Benavidez wouldn't fight him when he was a champion, so now Plant wants to repay the favor. I get it, but I wish he would reconsider! I also think Charlo should move up to 168. Charlo vs. Morrell Jr., MAN UP!

he didn’t get more than a 25 mil guarantee to fight smith, (he got 20). He’s definitely not getting more than that for Yidilgrim (have some common sense) and that’d likely be the max he’d get for Saunders. There’s a reason why dazn bailed on the 35 mil per fight deal with Canelo and wanted to pay him in the 20 range for a Saunders fight just this past May. So not likely they went over 25 when they wanted to pay less than that just months ago.

As far as this amazing goal of unifying at 168, don’t be fooled. He’s only saying that because he knows it’s the easier route. When he was a jmw champion, he never tried to unify all the belts. He actually disrespected the division by constantly fighting at 155. Then he could’ve unified all the belts with Andrade at 160 last sept when dazn approved it, but he decided not to fight at all. Not to mention he dropped 3 titles at mw instead of facing mandatories. Then he gets the low hanging fruit belt at 175 and immediately drops it because he wanted no parts of the other champions there. At 168, he first gets a fake wba title, now 2 years later he gets a real one but only petitioned for the wbc belt AFTER Benavidez lost it on the scales. He’s never made a real effort at unifying any weight class and unifying at 168 only became the goal once it became the easiest option to take.

First undisputed 168 champion in boxing history, quite an achievement imho.

Plant is next, Charlo and Benavidez will probably be 2022 schdule as those are the names who are most demanded by fans, including myself.
please see my post right above this one to see my opinion on his decision to suddenly unify at 168.

I'll believe it when the first bell rings, not before then. BJS will find a way out.

BJS doesn't have a chance. At least he's getting a pay day.

                  Very interesting fight.
                  BJS can fight.
Highly skilled, high ring IQ, great movement.
And he now has time to properly prepare.
If he has a good camp he has a chance to beat Canelo and then lose on the judges scorecards.

Take my hat off to Canelo making this fight. BJS is not easy. His team must be very confident their analysis has shown them a way to deal with him.

So no proof and everything else you said is just based on your emotions... ok. 👍

Nothing but the truth. Canelo is a good fighter but his career achievements are a mirage.

Makes you wonder if Benevidez didn’t lose the belts on the scale what would of been Canelo’s plans. No way he wants to fight Benavidez because if Benavidez beats Canelo, Mexicans going to rock with Benevidez and take some of Canelo’s fanbase
