I thought he made a right decision in retiring. His Floyd comparison made him into a HoF conversation even though he’s not. He made a bad move in unretiring. When he lost, every hype that surrounded him is easily gone. Goes to show us that undefeated records really does have a BRAND.

More wins than Floyd means he’s the better fighter. Everyone knew Floyd was getting smoked out and cornered in those final years. He would have ended up 50-3 if he kept fighting.

No, what it shows is that people are hyping the wrong thing.

He's a DAMN good fighter for his weight class. P4P? Hell no, but few are. For his weight, he's arguably the best, even now.

What we SHOULD be hyping, as fans, is the actual TALENT behind the record.

For his weight class, he faced all but one of the best that was in front of him and beat all but the guy that eventually beat him.

Instead, it was all about the numeric record which really didn't mean anything because those opponents wouldn't stand a chance against even someone like Mr. Gary Russell Jr. None of them. Not one. But that's not their fault, the guy was a minimumweight at a point then a strawweight. Those tiny dudes aren't beating featherweight and above no matter what you do.

I'm not one who's going to sit there saying a guy "looks" good. I want him to go out there and beat the best that's in front of him. Menayothin did at least that except the one guy who was his friend. He gets more respect out of me than someone like Andrade.

Wanheng already has a loss and his competion isn't anywhere near as close as floyd, so it's pointless to compare. The guy is still 35 years and he is still active, so you can't use the argument that he is at the end of his career.
