Berlanga reminds me of a cletus seldin level of fighter. Very surprised people are thinking he’s already the “real deal”

Fun fact, the guy that beat Berlanga ended up losing to Eric Moon the next day. Yes, the same Eric Moon that Berlanga KO'd in one round last July.

The Ams are for learning. I don't see why people always bring up something that happened in the Ams like its proof of something.

Most of yall never stepped foot even near a boxing gym and it shows.

Its more standard that a guy with crazy power doesn't got THAT good of a chin. There are always exceptions, but rules are rules for a reason. So its much more likely that Edgar's chin isn't tip top & when he loses it'll be by KO or he'll have some KO L's on his record when its all said & done.

Sounds odd to say that like its written already, but I've seen guys like Edgar a million times being a boxing fan for as long as I have. Fook I remember when Engels Pedraza was KOing mfers left & right in the 1st or 2nd round & getting hyped. His final record? 42-9 (40KO's). 7 of his 9 L's was him getting KO'd too.

People LOVE guys who KO opponents, in particular early KO's. Therefore KO artists are ALWAYS overhyped & considered better than they are.

That said its hard to argue with winning however its done & they have put Edgar in with tougher guys then lotsa guys doing what he's been doing in the past so thats a good sign they got confidence in him &/or trust him to be able to do what he's been doing beyond the first round. Whether that confidence is warranted in the end who knows, but fook all that he's a fun ass guy to watch regardless if he's the real deal or the next overhyped prospect & I suspect that won't change much whatever ends up being the case.
