Such a ****** f***ing decision Josh. I hope it works out for you but I have major doubts.

This is the man you’re putting faith into...

Fights won't happen with Hearn. Can only get those fights with PBC

I would've done the same thing tho bet on myself **** those belts their jus ribbons basically when u think about it
While you have a point, Warrington wasn’t getting those fights with the IBF belt.

So it's really starting to look as if vacating was about not fighting Galahad again.

If ibf had already called the mandatory it was always going to be unlikely that they were going to sanction any other fight in the meantime.

He isn't going to get Russell from pbc without a title or a big money offer. Xu doesn't look likely anytime soon and it'll probably be the same IE no title + big money.

Boxing fans are strange people. First they say 'screw the belts' because they just want to see the best fight the best (which is what Warrington is doing) but instead they criticize him lol

Exactly! So many fickle people on here talk about ‘ducking’!

Well he could have ducked the big fights and hid behind his mandatory but didn’t! Good on him, brave move.

Whatever he did people would criticise!

Seems like Josh is the fickle one. He jumps from Frank to Eddy, now he drops his belt to avoid a mando. Nobody is denying the Kid is a scumbag, but that's no reason to fly the coop. Hopping from here to there is no way to advance your position. Always starting over, working your way down.

I'd have more respect for Josh if he manned up and knocked the Kid out, like Whyte, and made everybody happy. This is how you gain trolls and lose fans.

I think its the right decision.

Josh is 30ish & he has a high energy style. Most of his fights have gone the distance.

Guys like that won't be around for a long time.

Josh needs to maximise his career, which definitely doesn't mean a rematch with Barry. I hope he gets Xu Can & Gary Russell or Navarette. Obviously, if it doesn't work out ppl will say he was a fool to drop the IBF but sometimes you have to take a chance.

We'll soon see if it was a good decision.
