I hate that Ring sanction a 1v3 for their vacant title and people lap it up like it means much. It just makes it another belt as far as I'm concerned. Warrington won't become Lineal Champion by beating Xu Can - he has to beat the number two man and that's Gary Russell Jr.

Nevertheless a fight between Warrington and Can should be a barnstormer and I favour Warrington on points.

I think GRJ might have a bit too much skill for Warrington, but he has a distinct size disadvantage that Warrington would need to exploit well to win. This fight would actually mean something historically as it's been a good while since we had a true Featherweight King.

If the GRJ fight gets made then kudos to all around, especially Warrington for dropping the IBF strap. And shame on them for getting in the way. Make Galahad fight for the interim title and he fights the winner - simple!

I don't know what's going on with the title, but if Josh traveled anywhere, it would be an improvement. What he wants, won't come knocking. It's hard to rule the world with apron strings and ma's cooking.

Do you think Josh is ducking Galahad? Kind of looks like he is I reckon.
        I thought Galahad beat him

The fight was so bad that I didn’t care he didn’t get the decision. Warrington certainly didn’t win 7 rounds though.

I don’t think he wants that fight again. I don’t think he likes that style, and if Galahad is slightly more active next time, he could probably win a clear decision v Warrington.

I think Galahad can deal with Warrington’s style, more than the other way around. He just needed to be a bit more assertive too.

This fight by fight deal tactic by Canelo is really smart IMO.
I agree and I'll backtrack on this. Thought about it that way after I commented, so I'll take the hit on that one. He is the cash cow and everybody else is tryna get some of that milk. Hearn tryna put his fight in a place like Miami is what I was referring to, but at the end of the day, Canelo runs his own show. He chooses who gets some of the bag and everybody else has to wait in line, fighters or promoters alike.

Would be ideal to face Russell. I agree with the gentleman who stated that he doesn't feel that Xu Can should be an opponent that would earn Warrington the world title. He's overrated by Ring magazine.

Correct, I misrepresented the Kid, saying he was a crude mauler. He has the clinging vine and rough house down to a science.

I totally agree with you on this. Without a title, unless Hearn is going to stump up a massive purse, why would Xu or Russell need/want to fight Warrington.

I suspect Warrington not wanting to rematch Galahad was a major factor in the decide to vacate but let's see it the Russell fight gets made . . .

I’d be interested to know how much of a factor is dad is. He heavily influences his career choices, I’d recommend the Warrington documentary Fighting for a city, his dad acts like he’s the star and the one doing the fighting.

Hopefully he gets Xu or Russell. I don't have an issue with him dropping the belt if it's getting in the way of the match-ups he really wants to make. If the plan doesn't pan out, he can always go back to the IBF and fight whoever wins the vacant belt.
