Really surprised DAZN did this deal without security of him fighting again in May. But yeah, this man is going to one fight deal his way through the rest of his career and I can't say I am mad at that....at all.

Agree. Hopefully he doesn't get cut or an injury to fook Cinco De Mayo up.

And I won't be mad at BJS or Caleb being the Cinco De Mayo opponent. I think both offer interesting stylistic challenges for Canelo. Personally I'm hoping for BJS. I think he's the higher ring IQ guy of the two who when motivated, which I think he definitely would be for Canelo, can give anyone a bad night.

I feel like Eddie is the one putting in more work than DAZN with keeping Canelo around. I mean DAZN ain't mad about it I'm sure, but its all Eddie doing the damn thing.

And I still say for whoever is the biggest name in the game The Move is to one fight deal your career during your peak. I mean fook we all know these 10 fight deals aren't really 10 fight deals any damn way. If you lose the whole dynamics of the original deal usually change for the worse. And you are forced to deal with the promoter who gots rights to your fights for the next 3 years or w/e. Much much much better to be able to play all these promoters against each other. Always better to have competition.

Not a bad, stay-busy fight. I'm sure Team Canelo appreciate the quick turnaround to their next fight. Avni will be in his face for the KO, im expecting a Kirkland-esque. Anything less shouldnt even be mentioned. I've said before, a better fight would be vs Yildrim-conqueror, Eubank.

It's not a compelling matchup, but if he is fighting every few months, it's natural that not every fight is going to be dynamite. His last few opponents were not soft picks, so this seems palatable, provided he fights a live dog in May.
