When PBC isn't involved we seem to get cross promotional fights that boxing asked for. Not alternatives but the ones we asked for. Kudos to both Top rank and Matchroom for giving the fans what we want.

But those step asides were to allow a contractual rematch and the IBF mandatory (which was next in line, regardless if the WBO were impatient and ordered theirs first). It's not like AJ has asked Usyk to step aside to have some voluntaries against the likes of Szpilka or Stiverne.
Let me add some context to your demeaning statements made against the 'Bronze-Bomber' Deontay Wilder, for clarity: we got Artur Szpilka as a opponent for Deontay Wilder over the fact that Alexander Povetkin requested that he make a voluntary defense of his WBC 'Silver' HW title against Mariusz Wach, because he ( Alexander Povetkin ) claimed to need ''more time'' ( Wink ) to ''prepare'' for his opportunity.
Further, Bermane Stiverne came about because once again Alexander Povetkin failed a PED test. The biggest joke is that Alexander Povetkin will be getting a shot at the winner of this sham 'undisputed' clash.
But Deontay Wilder never failed a drug test, paid his dues, and honored his word. But Alexander Povetkin and Tyson Phooey, two drug cheats are in line for a mega-fight.
Yep, best division in all the sport.Comment

I think a lot of you are dismissing Joyce, who can clearly beat Usyk on a given night. Especially at heavyweight. Also, what if Wilder wins arbitration?Comment

The business decisions made by Matchroom promotions should be of no concern by a sanctioning body, thats how you lose control of a division.

Boxing casuals are celebrating a 'undisputed' fight for the HW championship of the world, ( with multiple 'Interim' champions ), but then will bitch and moan when Joshua or Tyson get stripped, even though they know that Joshua and Phooey should of fought Usyk and Wilder first and avoided this mess.Comment

Also, Stiverne somehow being a mandatory just adds more weight to the fact that the WBC is the biggest joke of the "big four". Even more so with Povetkin, but, if Ducktay Whiner would have fought Whyte two years ago instead offor whatever reasonducking him, then the WBC wouldn't have gave him one of their divy interim titles for Povetkin to have the possibility to be in this positionComment

Even if one of them does get stripped after there will still be a clear number 1 in the division and that's what really matters to fans. Fury and Joshua hold the titles at heavyweight so the winner of that fight is THE man period. If one of them has to give up a title afterwards everybody will still see the winner of the Joshua v Fury as the champion of the division.Comment

Well shít the bed and call me Derrick, I actually agree with you. If the WBO are just dancing to Hearn's tune by allowing their title to be up for grabs with the intention of the winner vacating within a few months, then yes, that's ******. But they've given the winner six months to face Usyk (providing he wins) after Usyk vs. Joyce has taken place. So there's some wiggle room to allow both AJ vs. Fury fights to happen, depending on which fight takes place first.
If AJ vs. Fury 1 happens a month or two before Usyk vs. Joyce, then it will be more than doable. Because, let's have it right, if that scenario happens and the undisputed champion enters negotiations with the interim champion with 20 days left of the WBO's time limit, they're not gonna strip anybody.
And all that is providing Usyk wins. I personally think he beats Joyce quite handily, but if Joyce wins, I doubt the WBO will be so eager to enforce their rumoured ruling. The only reason they've been pushing so hard is due to the fact that Usyk has already stepped aside at least twice.Comment

Tyson Phooey is clearly recognized as #1. by every reputable platform, after his underhanded robbery of the 'Bronze-Bomber' Deontay Wilder. Wilder-Fury was #1. vs. #2. at the time. Remember, Anthony Joshua had quit vs. Andy Ruiz.
Furthermore, Anthony Joshua is holding titles that Tyson Fury lost due to his abuse of nandrolone. This fight means nothing to me, as corruption by both Joshua and Fury has played a role in order to bring about this lucrative PPV.
Otto Wallin probably has a better argument to be ahead of Usyk and Povetkin, this division absolutely stinks.Comment
